The best prices and selection I have seen come from eseasonsgear, both online and on ebay.

They carry most, if not all, brands and models. From $20 pens on up to big $$$$ meters.

I'm also looking for a decent meter without breaking the bank. Do you have personal experience with eseasonsgear? Would like to know as a quick search on Google brings up a BBB page with an F rating. Granted they only have one complaint but not responding to it is pretty weak.

Thanks in advance for any info you may have.

I've gone ahead and purchased the Millwaukee meter for $50. It's a great price. Spent another $20 on cleaning and storin solutions for the electrode.

You will like that meter. It's done me just right so far. Can't beat it for that price.

I will use them for my DWC setup.

Are these fairly good ones to start with?

Can anyone recommend better ones in the same general price range?

Your insight is appreciated very much. Smuggler

Ive got a Hanna Primo PPM meter and love it. Its nice and simple and seems pretty accurate and was nice and cheap. I do need to get a pH meter in the near future, currently I use a liquid tester. My grow is on a tight budget.

I got the martini meter...it works like a champ. Calibrate once a week and you will have no issues.
