May Day!!! May Day!! Lol. I am about one month in on flower now. Some one mentioned that I would have to support the plant. Well, that time has come and wondering how much bigger the buds will get. If you guys predict them getting much larger I need to start planning.
Should've netted them before flower lol

Hopefully a lot bigger, right? Dont hope for smaller yields! Lol. Seriously, if you can't net, you can use strings to support and spread individual branches. Not ideal for ease of moving about the canopy but not the end of the world either. Dont tie them tight!

I didn't know how many bud sites my little potted plant could take. I thought (stupidly) that removing the lower smaller buds it might push production of the bigger main colas up top. I wasn't worried about too many mains. I was concerned with all the little ones that were lower. The "little ones" I left have now gotten bigger. Go figure. Dumb mistake but first time growing a photo period plant.
It’s fine if you remove some of the lowers early on, matter of taste and style. You’re fine. Carry on.

Looking good, they will swell somewhat toward the end, for sure. They will get a bit bigger, not a lot.

Hey all. This is my first photo grow. I’ve had several successful auto grows so I figured I’d try photos. BIG difference in size and growth time lol. I’m on the second/third week of flower. Everything is great but the feel I have too many bud sites. Please give your opinion based on my pictures. I’m guessing worst case I wind up with bunch of little buds?? I didn’t realize how much bigger the photo period plants are compared to autos. One plant fills the entire tent!
If you top too much the plant can be stunted and not reach its potential. Your plant look great though. Thin out those leaves underneath that aren't getting any light.

Hopefully someone is still watching this thread. I don't think my plant is ready for harvest yet based off the trichomes and time in flower (4 weeks maybe). Im asking because the buds haven't gotten much bigger in the last few days. They were growing and putting on weight pretty quick earlier. Please see pictures for an accurate diagnosis.

Beautiful man, but don't harvest her too early.

She'll be prettier and fatter in a couple weeks if you just keep loving her. Just don't hurt her feelings by saying she's gaining weight or she might get pissed.

You have some time left..I'm guessing like you @ 3-4 weeks.. calyxes have yet to swell.... patience
Thank you for the input. These photo plants grow much bigger and slower compared to autos. The stretch phase was shocking

It’s not specifically because they are photos, every plant grows different. I’ve grown out tester packs for seed companies and gotten 10 totally different plants from a single pack.

I’d say your plants have about 3ish weeks maybe 4. It’s hard to see if the lower buds have similar maturity to the upper buds in the pictures. Sometimes the stigma will change early on a plant for various reasons so it important to pay attention to how the whole plant is performing.

When plants are maturing they usually reach a point where the stigma are all reddish and the buds don’t seem to be growing much outwardly. However they are still packing on weight internally in the form of density, and externally in the form of resin production.

It is tough to see in the pics but the plants look quite healthy. For good input try some pictures under normal light bulbs or something

if you are 30 days in you should try to wait at least 40 more days depending on the strain you are running.Around 70 days of 12/12 is usually a good area to consider Harvesting
I’m using 3500k cobs and a flash when I take pictures. The lighting should be accurate in the pictures. I just looked at the seed bank and they said 75 days. Can’t wait until I get everything sorted out. Love growing plants

Thank for your help as always. The lower buds are are still showing white hairs. You helped me time my last harvest and I learned from that. I’m just not used to 2 months of flowering and that crazy stretch this plant went through. I definitely need a second net as my colas are collapsing!!

Getting closer. Any guesses? I’m saying 2 weeks give or take a few days. See pictures please. I’ve lightly burned her last week.

There is what we can see and what we cant. The fattening happens a lot internally as it becomes denser which you cant see all that much. But at week 4 5 6 somewhere they suddenly are heavier than some strains branches can handle. It depends upon height, strain, training etc but always remember what we can see is only a part of the process.

Tcat is a pro pro pro at helping figure when a plant is finished.

Thanks for the love CC.

I think then OP is probably about right on. 12-14 days seems likely. If there isn’t any amber yet just keep an eye on the plant and pull it when you like the looks of the trichomes.
