Is there a difference between growing in a tote or a flowerpot
I was thinking a 20 gallon tote is bigger than a 20 gallon flowerpot let me know I was thinking of buying a tote and trying it at least

I've used the blue plastic totes outdoors before when ive ran outta fabric pots. They'll work make sure to drill holes in the bottom for drainage maybe pre drill holes up top if you want places to tie too. If your using them outdoors and plan to move them at all put something under it so roots dont grow into the ground

I have noticed that most "flower type pots" conform to the nursery measuring standard, so a 1 gallon flower pot, only really holds 0.64 gallons of content. And if you buy a, plastic, cloth, whatever type flowering pot most manufactures, even those in China, seem like they use that standard to make their pots. So... for all intensive purposes, a 20 gallon tote would actually hold 20 gallons of content, and a 20 gallon flower pot would likely only hold 13 or so gallons of content!
