It's has nothing to do with bad genetics, but it is its genetic map that makes it male or female. Its not a bad thing, it just is. Its just luck of the draw and you got somewhat bad luck.

Southern Oregon Seeds has a Blueberry he says is DJ Shorts...I've grown 3 of them out smells like str8 Blueberry muffins...leaves on them look identical to the leaves on your plant...what's the interesting lookin plant with the single blade leaves in the bottom left corner?

Ya that is bullshit especially because there's a lot of breeders that have a lot of strains with berry terps in there lineup. Dungeon vault genetics has some of the berriest and legit candy smelling terps I have ever had, dynasty as well. I grew brandywine from DVG and it literally smelled like grape big league chew gum.I know nothing is guaranteed as such but when you spend £100+ on seeds it's not unreasonable to expect a good blueberry tasting pheno, we are wide open to getting fucked.
I've just flowered blackberry I'm still waiting on a berry smell, it's decent enough weed and yeiled well but nothing remotely berry like
I'm not interested in what other breeders have the blackberry I flowered doesn't have any berry taste or smell, that's a factual not Bull.

Yeah man, some beautiful plants to grow hey! Out of the 12 seeds that I grew, I had 4 that went that same shade of lavender and they all stunk of blueberry. After a cure, they kept that nice smell and flavour to. So I reckon you can find a keeper in one pack!
it was my expérience..iam growing my 2nd regular try headbanger ,and got 9 female only 3 male ..i think the fact dj short contain some exotic landrace,it can increase the male ratio maybe or its just luck and nature
I had much better luck with my ratio but it did nothing for me in terms of finding a plant with blueberry terps. I’ve looked everywhere for the Humboldt blueberry muffin but everywhere seems to be out of it. I’ve pretty much had it with popping seeds only to be let down. Like your female mine all had a very frosty look and the colors were amazing but the smoke was pretty much a let down. If I had no expectations I may have been happy with one of the phenos but when you pay that much for a pack of seeds expecting BLUEBERRY and get nothing of the sort it’s enough to piss you off. Wasted time, wasted money, and now I’m back at square one. Thanks to everyone that made suggestions. Unfortunately I don’t have time or space to start that many varieties. If someone could recommend one strain that’s pretty much guaranteed to produce a true blueberry plant let me know. I have blackberry kush and some other very fruity strains, what I’m looking for is that classic early 90’s blueberry flavor where the stench creates the blueberry smell from a distance and it tastes like blueberry muffin. DJ just needs to be honest and IMO he needs to give that strain a different name.
