Do Americans actually want universal healthcare?

One of the beauty's of America is that we are an experiment made of 50 experiments. So let's experiment!

California should show us how well universal healthcare works instead of all their reps flapping their yaps about it.. They have a super majority of liberals and a governor who will sign it into law, literally right now.

Put up or shut up folks. That includes Vermont.
"I shouldn't say this to … my friend from Australia, because you have better healthcare than we do."

Everyone having health care is such a bad idea? This why I can’t vote republican. Basic human needs.

were supposed to be the number one country in the world. With no healthcare.
It's such a great idea that california or vermont should do it and not wait on the rest of the country.

The whole legislature is democrat with a democrat ready to sign it if it lands on his desk. Pubs and dems cant even pass a corona stimulus, so why wait on them for healthcare when Cali could just show us all how its done?

California could pass it literally next week. So why dont they? Show us how well it works. Are you not down for that? I certainly am. What have you got against helping people?

I’m down for universal healthcare for every American. And if you’re not you’re not an American.

we can debate how we make it happen but there’s no debate we should have had this years ago. And Republicans are holding it up.

Trolling universal healthcare to simultaneously scare those voters that don't like the idea of socialism, while firing up the people that really want a government run system so that people and businesses don't have to worry about it anymore.

You think he was running against Bernie Sanders. It is a shame Trump wasn't able to cheat his way into getting one of the candidates he had all his ready made trolls for huh.

The Democrats are onto Trump's scam. He was too obvious and ruined all your setups because he thinks he is clever.

I wouldn't mind a health care system where everyone received the same level of health care but at the same time people who could afford to buy additional coverage from the private sector could receive a bit more. I can only point to the UK. 20K can put you to the front of the line for a knee replacement where you might wait 6 month on the coverage provided to everyone. Most countries don't spend money on "defense" like we do which is a hell of a lot of money that could be shunted to health care. One or two less Tridents and health care for all could be attainable. It's got to be a lot easier to have universal healthcare in a country like Japan who pay but a pittance toward their own defense. I don't think Obamacare affected me at all but I do know the middle class tax cut cost me $7000.00. money that surer than shit isn't going to any social programs.

Sounds good for the most part. not sure why money should get you moved forward on the list though.

Mexico will have health care for all before the US. Jesus what is happening?
I blame communist countries like New Zealand who started this radical trend that healthcare was a basic collective right, back in 1940. Or was it 1941? Anyway, I think it's great that freedom at least triumphed in the USA 80 years later today, and they still alone uphold those values of being forced to seeing only the doctors on your HMO list, or without insurance seeing no doctor at all. /s

Only in the U.S.A where if a child doesn't have enough money they literally die. At least you can make fun of other countries for being socialists though.

wattzzup... Isn't that the way it works in countries with some system of universal health care? I really don't know but I've got to assume that the moneyed elite get better care because they pay for it out of pocket. I do know that people go to other countries for procedures and such because they can afford it and don't want to be in a long list of those waiting for care. IDK..

If you have tons of money(like being able to afford a $100K operation plus hospital stay)then no worries but if you are getting by, pick which finger you want to keep.

You know what satire is right? DId you also know that New Zealand isn't actually a radical communist country as I joked? Neither is Finland, Norway, Canada, etc. or any other modern country on earth. lol It's just that the USA in social infrastructure isn't much better than the average third world country. The infant mortality rate and income and wealth disparity reflects that, among other comparative metrics. I used to live in the states, in both Florida and Colorado. I liked Colorado, but Florida despite the great fishing there was an alternate reality during my 3 years there. I frankly pinched myself everyday to make sure it wasn't a nightmare. lol
