Hey rip, this is my first post, I have read a lot soo did'nt need to post before now.
i am from denmak sorry my spellig.

I come across a link that says 12/12 light cycle is wrong because cannabis plant is a short day plant.

the recomende light cycles are following:

germination: 18/6

vegetation: 12 on 5,5 off then 1 on 5,5 off

flowering: 10/14

anyone in here that have tried it or can confirme this info from this link: http://www.oh-cannabis.com/2013/11/12-hour-lighting-for-cannabis-is-bad-mmmkay/

its the flowering light thats caught my eye...

if tehy are going to crap on about the light cycle of a plant and what is needed for it in regards to what happens naturally then when does the sun come up for one hour and then set for a further 5.5 hours

Someone posted about it here recently.
All else aside it would be cost effective
if it is true.

10/14 works fine but there are too many thousands of people growing fat ass dense invade your brain Nugs on 12/12 for it to be "wrong". As usual my friend people quack a lot but the proof is in the fucking pudding. Good luck

Gas lantern method works pretty well. the 12-1.. aka 12on-5.5off-1on-5.5off. Good for vegging if heat or energy is an issue.

I prefer 24/0 for vegging and 12/12 for flower. 18/6 works fine too though.. I just feel 18/6 adds more stretch to the plants... if you want taller plants the 18/6 would be better.. for small plants and micro grows the 24 is better in my opinion.

12/12 for flowering is the normal, I have just read a hole lot of different info and light cycles.

I have come by 26 hours day cycles as well:

14 on 12 off, not narterly but hydro grow isn't either....

I do growing, on a hobby basic so it could be fun to test some off these cycles..

24/0 20/4 18/6 10/14 these all work. This is an unregulated process so if you're new to this I'd try and mimic someone successful (as I did). You'll find that as you go, you'll be modifying what you've learned to fit what you're doing. Everyone I've ever met/conversed with does something different. At the end of the day we're all rolling/packing fine herb!
