Do you only add nutes to dwc once a week ?

Is adding nutes to a dwc system like soil adding them a couple times a week? or do you just add them once then change the res like 2 weeks later ?

if you have a ppm meter you can continuously add nutes to keep the res at the same reading at all times. If you ladies are drinking a gallon every couple days (or everyday like mine) and the ppm is going down then you can keep pumping those nutes in there and really get those babies going. Definitely not like soil they're able to use more nutes=bigger buds!

I agree with Hood. Like my rez holds 6 gallons at "full operating levels". When the water starts dropping (assuming you have a PH meter/TDS meter), get your PH and PPM readings. If the PPMs are high, but your water level is low, then that means your ladiez are drinking more than they are eating. If the PPMs and the water is low, then your ladiez are eating and drinking both. Basically the plants will let you know when you have it right ;) Set a PH RANGE of 5.5-6.5 and watch em grow. If they spot or have burnt tips, then you know your nute solution may be too strong for them at this point of their growth. So basically just check em everyday, see how the PPM and water levels look, always try to keep your rez full, and remember UNDER NUTING IS BETTER THAN OVER NUTING! Hope this helps ya out. Happy growing and keep us posted ;)

cool thanks I got a 4-5 foot big bang in there vegged it for 2 months, now in week 4 of flowering it just started having super dark leaves so I was wondering if I was feeding too much cause I dont own a meter unfortunately. also without the meter I know its bad but generally do you add the nutes once a week or more than that ?

I only add once a week but some people are able to calculate how much nutes to add back to the water to get the PPM where it should be. You definitely need a meter PH and PPM your plants will lock out the nutes if the PH is too high or too low.

mineralz has the right advise if you are checking in between reservoir changes. If you can afford it i would change out the reservoir and nutes every week. That way you don't have to add nutes during the week(you still have to check ph and water levels). Since you don't have a tds meter you should dial back the nutes to about half strength and give them extra nutes little by little every time you change the water. If you stay with changing the reservoir out every two weeks i recommend that you get some H2O2 to help keep your tank clean. I hope you can use some if not all of the info i provided. Good luck and Happy Growing.

Big thanks to everyone that did help a lot. I actually have been adding small amounts of h202 for sure and will get a meter asap.

I check and add daily if needed. I also check ph, ppm, rez temp, room temp, and humidity every day religiously.
