Do You Think? It's Wrong to Steal from Wal-Mart?

its funny how easy we can talk ourselves into thinking its not that bad. i remember when i first started driving and it took 12$ for a full tank(only 11 years ago), i use to make gas runs(pump before u pay, then drive off) old friend told me(the same one that introduced me to heroin, go figure) stealing 12$ of gas is the same as stealing a 50 cent candybar, when your in court. As long as its theft under 20, or theft under 50, or whatever the laws are, u get a class C misdemeanor. which to me was like a slap on the wrist. Ohhh but how i remember like it was yesterday, when my grandma called me up saying how disapointed she was in me and literrally crying(she is everything to me). Some hero followed me out of the gas station and took my plates. busted. And the policeman at the house actually trying to calm her down and telling her its not that big of a deal to get so upset. Needless to say, there was a big trust issue for awhile after that.

oh man, this just reminded me of the very first time i "tried" to steal something. I was like 5, in the gas station with mom, and i begged and begged and BEGGED for a little 2 cent bubblegum. No.......no...... she just would not give in. so i just thought id take it. As were walking out, im freaking the fuck out, and i just remmeber my mom casually looking over at me, and i immediately say "what mom! why do u keep looking down at my pocket! why do u keep looking at my pocket!".....busted lmao. she marched me right into the gas station and made me give it back. i remeber boo hooing my ass off, mostly cause i was embarrassed i was caught. and the man said i could keep it, but she insisted i give it back. then i remeber as were walking back to the car, it was like the first serious convo we have ever had. She said this is how it starts, and one day i would be stealing cars. At the time i couldnt possibly think of anybody stealing a car. dammit i think i need to give moms a call. its been awhile

I had a short time job as a cat burglar in my youth.Never stolen from department stores, but if I would it would be Mao Mart.Chinese Owned.Target is another good one Owned by Iran I think. They refuse to let people raise money for Veterans and Boy/Girl Scouts out in front of there establishments.
Target is owned by the French douchebags

I used to be a "pro" thief
From the age of 16-18 I stole 22,000. yes twenty two thousand, dollars from dept stores. On my 18 B-day I jacked beef jerky from WAWA and got caught by a freckle faced teen in the cooler.
Just a warning but it cured the bugf

Ethics and Morals are subjective and pathetic.
I couldn't disagree with a statement more. Let me ask you. You believe me raping and murdering the 6 year old little boy next door is only wrong because of some sort of cultural or social construct? Please articulate an argument for the relativity of Murder. The same philosophic idealism pertains to theft.

No. I didn't say that. I said, well, LMAO, what you quoted. It can be as wrong for as many reasons as you want. But its only wrong for those reasons because you make it so. It will NOT be wrong to other people just because you want it to. Therefor, it's subjective. Therefor, it's a pathetic excuse.

My position on you a rapist and murderer that violated and executed a 6 year old little boy is, I couldn't care any less.

Huh? You know yOu didn't actually say anything in this statement. You said Morality is Subjective and Pathetic I find that a seriously flawed statement. Morality to be subjective would require the act of the crime to be a fabrication itself. Crime happens and whether or not you consider it a crime doesn't change the facts.

But would you care if it was your 6 year old little boy?

theives are peices of shit. if you are stealing anything at all from anybody, you are a peice of shit. grow up and pay for stuff.
We seldom agree.

Happily, this time we do.

Theft is a crime. Just because the victim is a faceless corporation, the folks still feel it.

The corporation simply passes the loss onto the consumers in the form of higher prices.

But that's irrelevant to my point.

From time to time I see threads denouncing weed thieves, and rightly so.

There is no difference here.

Theft is a 'mala in se' offense. Meaning it is morally wrong.

It is not 'mala prohibita' like cannabis use. Illegal just because people in authority declare it so.

Theft hurts everybody. Don't do it.

You are right. Violation of individual and property right is wrong. It's not wrong because a corporation passes on the losses to the consumer and we have to pay for the theft. It's wrong because its a violation of rights.
