I want to have a big jug of water that i change everyother week that has a tube running from it too the plants. Does anyone have any techniques to makeing an efficient watering system like this, and if so how would i make it

Hi there 808,one of the popular hydro methods is flood and drain where water goes from your reservoir, fills up another container with plants in and then drains back into the reservoir. Or you can use dwc(deep water culture) where the water is constantly bubbling away in a bucket with plant roots submerged in water and nutrients. There are loads of hydro set ups of this nature,i dont know how to post links yet as im quite new to computers, how ever if you type in hydroponics into the images section of your search engine it will show you loads of types and ideas.Peace brother

Flood and drain, a valve, a timer and a small water pump from Home Depot or Lowes to pump liquid back up into the reservoir is how some do it.

Do a search Dude, it's all here. S

wait, really wtf. get rid of my avatar :D i thought this was me haha

but here's what I do, for smaller ones like in party cups have tacks on 4 corners of the cup and let that cup sit in another cup filled with water. pretty simple and works decently. haven't tried with bigger pots yet. don't plan on it. stagnant water bad water.
