During the livestream, Lindell also fundraised for a "legal offense fund," saying he'll send a copy of his memoir to anyone who contributes to it.

"It's actually the Lindell Legal Offense Fund, because remember, we're always on the offense," Lindell said.

"If you donate anything, even if it's $10, I'm gonna send you a free book," Lindell said, referring to his memoir, titled "What Are the Odds? From Crack Addict to CEO." During the stream, Lindell also described what one could look forward to in his memoir, including a chapter in which he writes about digging through a carpet for crack cocaine.
So there is hope yet for Hunter?

After years of Republican projection accusing others, Jeffrey Epstein’s pilot testifies that he flew Donald Trump on Epstein’s private jet.
Probably Clinton, Prince Andrew and a host of other celebrities, who will be protected from prosecution, will be revealed too. I'm sure Trump was a frequent flyer on Epstein Airways to his fantasy island, Epstein seemed to be in the business of spotting weaknesses and ensnaring these kinds of people. I wonder if he accumulated blackmail material like videos?

Why mess with blackmail when you can offer carrots rather than sticks? "I can keep feeding what your evil hearts desire."

Ex-chief of staff says Trump won't run because he can't be seen as 'loser'

Donald Trump’s longest-serving White House chief of staff isn’t so sure that the former president will mount a comeback campaign in 2024, even as he continues to tease another run for the White House.

“Trump won’t run,” John Kelly, a former Homeland Security secretary who served as Trump’s chief of staff for a year and a half, told The Atlantic. “He’ll continue talking about it; he may even declare, but he will not run. And the reason is he simply cannot be seen as a loser.”
Kelly has remained relatively quiet since leaving his post at the White House in 2019, though he has spoken critically of Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Yet his remarks to The Atlantic underscore the ongoing debate among Republicans about what Trump’s political future holds.
While the former president has made sporadic public appearances and hinted that another presidential run is on the table, some party officials and operatives are skeptical that he’ll actually pull the trigger on a 2024 White House bid.

Other would-be GOP presidential contenders, like former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, have said that they will not run for the White House if Trump decides to jump into the race.

I need to go watch the movie Idiocracy again to refresh my memory on the GOPs master plan for ruling this country.
I am pretty happy with covid in that regard. Can't lie, the movie made a reasonable point about the dumbing down of America. Luckily, given the dipshits are dying at a higher rate, as a whole gene pool, we are better off. Wish it got to them earlier.

There was talk of that. He was a hedge fund guy that didn't really seem to run a hedge fund, know anything about them, etc.

He will also be in jail before the end of 2022 and doing hard time by the 2024 election. If he figures running for POTUS will get him out of prison somehow (it won't) or get him attention, he might go for the nomination. Prison will not sit well with Donald and he will be freaking and squirming to get out any way he can, but it will give him cover if he loses the election, it was so unfair! I wouldn't be surprised if he won the GOP nomination or threw a fucking into the process from his NY state prison cell. There's gonna be a big FREE DONALD movement when they put him away, freaking, screaming and lashing out in all directions. It might get real ugly when some other asshole tries to grab the reins from Donald's tiny hands and rides the herd of lunatics and losers.

Appeals court grapples with DOJ effort to shield Trump from E. Jean Carroll suit
A three-judge panel for the New York-based Second Circuit Court of Appeals questioned the arguments from the Biden administration and Trump's personal lawyer that the former president's comments about Carroll in denying her allegations were made within the scope of his official employment as government official.

If the circuit court rules that Trump cannot be sued in his personal capacity, it would doom Carroll's case, which alleges that the former president went on a "defamation rampage designed to crush her" when she went public with her allegations in 2019.

Judge Denny Chin questioned whether Trump's attacks on Carroll could be construed as statements he made within the scope of his official duties.

"Who is he serving when he says something like 'she's not my type,'" asked Chin, an Obama appointee. "Is he serving the United States of America when he makes that statement?"

Alina Habba, one of Trump's personal lawyers, responded that he was, that the president was addressing a question from the press that concerned his fitness to hold office.

"Absolutely," Habba said. "Because he has to address the fact that this could not and would not have happened – he did not do it."

And it goes on at length.

Trump social media startup receives commitment of $1 billion from unidentified 'diverse group' of investors
Former President Trump’s social media group, Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. (TMTG), along with its blank-check company announced on Saturday it had received a commitment of $1 billion from an unidentified “diverse group of institutional investors.”

TMTG and blank-check company Digital World Acquisition Corp. said that "subscription agreements for $1 billion in committed capital" would be received from an unknown group of investors once both TMTG and Digital World are combined.

In October, Trump announced that he would be creating a social media network dubbed “Truth Social” and its full launch is expected in the first quarter of 2022. The network has been advertised as a platform “that encourages open global conversation without discrimination on the basis of political ideology.”

“$1 billion sends an important message to Big Tech that censorship and political discrimination must end. America is ready for TRUTH Social, a platform that will not discriminate on the basis of political ideology. As our balance sheet expands, TMTG will be in a stronger position to fight back against the tyranny of Big Tech," Trump, who is listed as TMTG’s chairman, said in a statement.

“I am confident that TMTG can effectively deploy this capital to accelerate and strengthen the execution of its business, including by continuing to attract top talent, hire top technology providers, and roll out significant advertising and business development campaigns," Digital World CEO and chairman Patrick Orlando said in a statement.

TMTG is also expecting to debut a subscription-based video streaming service called TMTG+, which will feature “non-woke” news, entertainment, podcasts and other content.

Hope the 'not discriminate on the basis of political ideology' allows the good people of the Earth to have their voices heard and spam the shit out of the site.

Not gonna happen, Donnie is going to prison and he couldn't run a stick up a cow's arse. If true, promises are cheap, but it won't get off the ground, anybody who invests money in it will lose it. Are they still using open source code for it in violation of the usage terms?
