Dream Lotus - 400w DWC Tent

Eight Bodhi Dream Lotus total. Tude freebies (not currently growing) were 2 MK Ultra and 2 Lambo regs from TH Seeds. Big plants are 4.5 weeks old from seed... fuckin cat ate 3 seedlings before I caught him and beat his ass, so I had to plant 3 more... those are 2.5 weeks old from seed. The hope/goal is to flower 4 females under 400w HPS. One in the front looks more sativa than the others, although def indica node spacing and size (20" wide, 7" tall)... one in the back hiddin by cooltube has leafy leaves like lettuce.

I want to induce flowering Wednesday, but the 3 small ones are going to need an additional week to establish roots... slow going possibly due to A/C not working at one point and temps reaching high 80s. Some concern the older bigger more vigorous plants will get too tall for 400w HPS. They will be at 6 weeks old and 4 weeks old when I switch photoperiod. But the younger ones will have the growth of a 3 week old due to a slow start.

I topped two plants about 2.5 weeks into veg because they were getting big as fuck and I knew they would out-grow the others. Topped at third node and got 4 colas on both plants. All others will be single cola, no training. Had 2 situations in two of the buckets with nasties, but quickly got it handled. All other roots are pristine white. Shit floating in the res is barley from the pond zyme. Something in my tap water is reacting with the Pro-Tekt and making it turn to plastic in my res... going to have to stop using it.

I told my girl I wouldn't post pictures of our shit on the internet, but due to the lack of Bodhi grows, I felt the need to contribute. Next grow, hope to run 4 bodhi white lotus, 2 mk ultra, 1 fem super lemon haze, 1 fem skywalker og.

400w MH/HPS, 2x4x7 tent, 4" inline fan/cooltube/carbon filter/silencer, DWC 8 5g buckets, 60gph air pump + shitty air pump on 2 buckets with stones, buckets insulated & light-proofed with 3 layers Reflectix. 1L ice bottle swapped every 12 hours for res temps.

I see frozen jugs! How warm is your water?

I dont have a thermometer but I used to... so judging by hand I believe 67-70 after 12 hours when I change the bottles.

I supercropped the 2 higher colas on both topped plants so the 2 lower colas can catch up and be even. Going to give another 7-10 days veg prob... worried about the height of the older plants but I have two 150w hps I can throw in.

Did bucket changes last night... switched to dynagro bloom... not using protekt anymore. Switched to 400w hps 12/12. Roots are getting a lot bigger... Will know sex soon.

Will take some pics after stretch and males are culled.

The stretch has officially begun... they got big over the last 12 hours of dark. New leaves are 11 fingered with a yellowish hue... I'm feeding 15ml DG bloom and 5ml DG grow which puts me at about 500ppm. Might need more N. Roots are growing and doing well; pretty much twice as much roots as in the above pics. One of the plants has a very mild silver/blue hue to the fan leaves. On 2 of my plants, the leaf blades like to twist this way and that. One other plant, the leaves like to curl up/down like a boat... It has 9" fan leaves.

I opened my tent when the light came on and the smell was glorious... I'm not talking about plant smell, or even bud smell really... but it smelled good as fuck. It didn't start smelling like this until today (day 3 12/12). I got some sap on my fingers super cropping last week, and it smells pretty fuckin magical too. I'm not going to let it get me excited though; the smell of cannabis before it has bud doesn't really mean much.

It has been 4 weeks of 12/12 now, 2 weeks since pistils.... which is what I go by. Had some ph issues for 2 weeks or so due to laziness, but that's under control now. Finally broke down and bought a blue labs ph pen. There are bits of root floating around in my res; you can see there's a lot in the pics. Not sure why little pieces of root are breaking off or if that's normal. I have ph and ppm dialed in right now, so not much I can do really. Prob going to get a fish net to scoop out dead root bits every couple days. There's also some pretty significant leaf cupping down going on from the ph issue.

I ended up with 4 females. Two large, two of the small younger ones. One of the bigger ones was topped so it has 4 colas. They are about 4 feet tall or so from floor to top... maybe a little more. I'm pretty happy with the trichs and bud size/structure so far.

Do it man I love the growth rate in dwc and the control you have in hydro. Seems like the simplest and most effective method to get into hydro to me besides a hempy bucket. I like watching the roots grow almost as much as watching the buds grow. Im excited to smoke this strain, heard lots of good shit about bodhi gear. Ive never had anything blueberry to my knowledge but this seems to be on track for being dank as fuck so far.

I plan to move up to 600w hid and 6" ventilation in the future. Also interested in finding out more about the effectiveness of uvb lighting and co2 bags.

Ahh I have been wanting to give it a shot. I have a GH Rainforest 66 but can never seem to finish anything out in it. I end up not liking something and tossing the plants into soil. Next round I think I will try it out again.

Are the sites seperated inside the system?

I think the main thing that bites people in the ass in dwc is root rot.

I agree...temps down, some aquashield or pondzyme with weekly changes of water/nutes in the buckets will give you amazing results.

How bout, you add a larger air pump and a large air disk? Maybe that could be your solution or you can start doing some modifications on it add some flexi-pipes to it and a pump to draw the water into a res. My mind want to modify shit quick when im high...lol. i think a seperate res would kick ass with that thing.

Thanks man. 5 weeks of 12/12; 3 weeks from pistil... all is well. You can see the 2 runts in the back, they got root rot and are just now recovering. Hoping to pull 0.5oz + off each, but there's a good chance that's not going to happen. I've decided to not use bloom boosters this run. I kinda think dumping a bunch of PK in the water just throws the balance off, and it's not like the plant is going to eat more than it wants to regardless of what I put in there. Just doing 5ml grow, 15ml bloom in 4 gallons for 500ppm, or 1ec. I was hoping to get like 4-6 oz, but I have no idea really. For one week of growth compared to last week, I'd say I'm pretty fuckin happy with the frost and the way they're filling out. The leaves are really dark, but I'm not using much grow at all. They've been that way since veg, and I was running like 300ppm in veg so...

Pictures are a little shitty this week... I dunno how to use my camera and had low light. Most of them are of the biggest plant with the 4 tops. They don't do much branching at all; pretty much grows like a stick. I had a branchy pheno which I liked, but it was a male then it hermied and I pulled it. The big one on the right is my 11 fingered sativa pheno.

I ordered a 60x - 100x pocket microscope off amazon today. I will be making dry ice kief and getting some bubble bags to make bubble hash using Subcool's method.

Going to run 4 fem seeds next, I picked two strains and my girl picked two. I picked 3 grandaddy purple, 2 delicious seeds critical sensi star; she picked 2 super lemon haze, and 1 g13 labs pineapple express. I went ahead and ordered the gdp tonight cuz yesterday there were 49 singles, then tonight only 18 left.. I checked a couple hours later down to 16. I wanted to wait for promo but fuck it. The other shit will come out to 60$ so I will get promo beans... just ate an extra 15$ in shipping, but that's basically the cost of a bean and I'm getting a fuck ton of free ones and I have been hoping to run gdp.

Just out of curiosity what did you use to reset the rot? Looks like a recovery well under way!

To stop the root rot I dunked the roots in mild bleach tap water for about a couple min then flushed the roots and medium with plain tap water. I gently agitated the roots and pulled off the dead shit until they didnt feel slimey anymore. Then I made a new res with pondzyme and thats it.

Last night I bought a quart of aquashield to run with the pond zyme so my roots should be solid now. I also said fuck it and added 10ml of hydroplex. I was going to stop using the boosters but I changed my mind.
