Both stems are really fucking hard. When I push it with my finger, the whole plant moves with it.
Both about 9-11"

My BD topped her once and pruned her some now she has about 8 tops and shes stretched a bit that I think when I start giving her full nutes next week ill have to flower her the week after because shes getting tall and stretchy
Mine has over 60 tops at the moment. I use full strength nutes the whole grow.

But i use General Organics. no pH adjustment. just easy. lol

OK. so start at a 45 degree angle(tie it off.) slowly drop it daily. You won't get a full 90 out of her. but you can reduce the overall height by around 5-6 inches in a week..... judging only by pictures.

More LST than SC really. because of the unavailable crimping.

(try to)Roll the stem in your fingers a bit. it'll help her weaken just enough to get a good starting angle on the stalk.
But not enough to split it open.

Going to give it a go. Hopefully I don't snap her in the process
Thanks brotha man

No problem. Just don't over do it.
Little bits at a time and tie it off.
This way you aren't starting in the same spot everytime.
that will simply give her strength when you DON'T want it. lol

Let me know what happens.

Alright, I did it.
Had to hold each one down slowly letting it go lower for about a good 10 minutes each, but I did it.
LST'd them pretty well from my point of view, considering the circumstances.
Thanks for sparking up the idea for me.

Oh yeah, just in case you didn't know this trick...
If you don't want to rip your plant out of the soil or damage the roots while training your plants, tie her stalk down in the opposite direction in which you're going to do the initial LST.

Looks great bro. All those side branches will come out one side while the main stalk turns up on the other. Gonna get way better light that way...

Direction all the "Blank spaces" of the plant towards the light. otherwise some of your side branches will grow up under the main stem and get no light. :)

I learned that on my own a few weeks ago. Now i have even growth instead of blank spaces. I had to move the branches by hand... but i'm sure the light being directly on them will cause them to grow out that side. :)

Good luck. Gimmie an update in a couple weeks. Let me know how they are doing.

Haven't had an issue with stalks. i've basically caught every plant before the stalks swelled... But i'll be sure to keep that in mind for future grows. :) thanks

Got that already brotha
A method I've used for a while now is to position a fan on the ground pointing upwards. After a couple of hours to a day, all the branching will be moved upwards a little bit faster to fill in those "blank spaces."
But hey, I'm one of the laziest people you'll ever meet.

Damn stew, this threads a regular book:mrgreen:! I was going to check out what yah got goin' on over here and got lost!! I love your projects and pics for sure!! I really liked the way you grew out that BD with the bending/twisting and getting all the tops.... I do the same pretty much; really have to on my indoor. I've even completely broken the stems when the flowers are shooting to close to the lights...no stress at all. Whose the breeder on the one you were growing a few pages back(not sure if you've harvested it or not). Anyway +rep4u on this book and all the updating and pics and all!! Peace, gman

for what it's worth, I do things a bit differently here. When I have a girl into veg with 8-10 nodes (12" high), I install (as many may have noticed in my grows) 30" stakes (18 gauge) into the dirt container. I put one going straight up the main trunk. Then I install 5 more stakes in a star pattern about 8" out from the center. As the colas start to form I connect them to a stake with bread ties to control future direction, as well as stablelize them when they get heavy. When a cola is blocking light from another cola beneath it, I simply put a slight bend in the wire (connected to the cola). Just another idea to consider. Peace

His stalks were too thick to crimp or LST. he couldn't bend then regularly without uprooting the whole plants. He got it though. He posted a pic already of what it looked like afterwards. :)

Now, there you go for a good example of how much trouble a grower goes through here all the way to picture taking...and with labels is the way it should be. I need sum a dat stew (lol). Bubblegum to ya bro. Peace

Damn Stew. You went from super noob to super amateur! And I mean that in a good way, maybe super novice sounds better lol. I only say that because you aren't rocking the warehouse... yet.

Thanks bro. I know it's meant as a compliment. :)

After harvest I am going to get a 4x4 to add to the room for a perpetual grow.
And maybe after a few harvests I can get a bigger place with more room. :)

I got a bunch of GDP pollen to use in this grow. Gonna have Cocoa Puffs to use as well...

Still waiting for the CS spray to work on my Cotton Candy and Blue Dream clones....
Within a week something should start... I hope both but i won't get my expectations up for my first time breeding. lol

Got so many new strains to run next grow, and if I get the new tent, I have autos too.

Still going to be putting in a new seed order. Even though I have seeds coming in this week. AND I have MORE coming next week. lol....

It's time for me to stock up and breed. :)

Thanks for stopping by. Flip this bitch in 2 more days......
