Yes very much so.Ya ever heard of pruning your roots?Well in some cases it is necessary but not a MUST.look up PRUNING ROOTS.Is it possible to trim the roots in a DWC system if they get TOO big?..
but yes like i said it is not necessary but you can just prune the roots if they start to outgrow your system and theyll be just fine!just PRUNE!Dont go to just choppin away!Look it up before you do it.i dont know if i would go to cuttin on the roots that i just spent sooo long trying to get em that big just build a bigger system bro bit i have no clue it just dosent seem sensible to me
The thing is,the plants grow faster when the roots "THINK" they still have alot of growing to do..so as long as I keep the roots trimmed, they wont get rootbound..and stay manageable..the plants will continue to grow roots FASTER than if it already had a rootbound root system..you get me?Google bonsai cannabis mothers..and the entire method is based on root trimming them every month or so..that way the plants will still grow perfect, and they CANT get rootbound...ofcourse it is stressing..so I wont do it to my prodcution plants..just my bonsai moms..Ima keep 8 bonsai plants in this small DWC system..and trim the roots whenever the reservoir gets too overun by the roots...seems to me like a PERFECT idea for small spaces..since most people are walsy forced to transplant to bigger contaoiners whenever the plant gets rootbound..so does my plan sound correct?i dont know if i would go to cuttin on the roots that i just spent sooo long trying to get em that big just build a bigger system bro bit i have no clue it just dosent seem sensible to me
yep..you are right.it is a method of growing that the japanese have been using for centuries.ihave read up on it.After you prune those roots your plant will thrive new growth, and itll help stop root rot!I dont do it cause it is not NECESSARY but it does work! Try it.The thing is,the plants grow faster when the roots "THINK" they still have alot of growing to do..so as long as I keep the roots trimmed, they wont get rootbound..and stay manageable..the plants will continue to grow roots FASTER than if it already had a rootbound root system..you get me?Google bonsai cannabis mothers..and the entire method is based on root trimming them every month or so..that way the plants will still grow perfect, and they CANT get rootbound...ofcourse it is stressing..so I wont do it to my prodcution plants..just my bonsai moms..Ima keep 8 bonsai plants in this small DWC system..and trim the roots whenever the reservoir gets too overun by the roots...seems to me like a PERFECT idea for small spaces..since most people are walsy forced to transplant to bigger contaoiners whenever the plant gets rootbound..so does my plan sound correct?
