As for news, I trimmed few (4) tiny buds off of my 5 week old flowering plant a few days ago (I'm sure onthedl has a better idea what day it was... I know I posted about it. Sooo.. I water cured it (must only be about 3 days so far) and couldn't wait so I took one bud out of it earlier today, say 8 hours ago. I "dried" it in the most high tech and advanced way know to man-
1. shook of the excess water
2. hit it with a hair dryer for a while
3. stuck it in 2 different windows to see if breeze would dry it
4. put it on my direct tv receiver hoping the heat would help

I just checked it 30 minutes ago and lo and behold- still moist (I guess it's still not even cured yet- actually I'm sure after smoking it). Sooo.. I threw it in the one hitter and attempted to smoke... Here's my synopsis:

All out of 10, 10 being best-

Flavor: -2 (tastes like a wet dead skunk- friggin nasty really)
Forgot the rest of the criteria....
Oh yeah,
High- 5 (well I am pretty stoned I guess. still creeping up on me)

So I have now officially confirmed to myself that my high hopes for my ingenious plan were almost a complete failure (it did get me high, but tasted sooooooo bad- hope the final product is light years later.... I mean better). Don't cut buds at 5 weeks, water cure for 3 days, dry 8 different ways, try and smoke it even though it's wet (maybe I'll make that my saying). I just called someone and am getting a 100 bag to hold me over- I'll just wait (hopefully the rest of the stuff water curing will actually be decent- if not, I've got 3 weeks left I figure... and I'm sure I'll cut some more down before then and try the water again... damnit).

On a serious note (why the fuck is it so hard not to laugh as I write that)- I water cured some schwag over the last 5 days and it improved a ton!! I mean I took some literal put you to sleep, nasty as dirt full of seeds and transformed it into flavorless, smooth, clearer high schwag (only reason I did this is cause I had like 4oz of it laying around for years and a oz of decent here is around $450- can't bear to do it since I've good hopefully good stuff on the way). I had really high hopes for the fresh cut, but it's curing way different. The fresh is still putting of quite an odor and is taking forever to dry (the water cured schwag is 10 times easier to dry). I figure it's cause the bud isn't even dead yet (sure tastes like I just chopped of some random plant, left it in a wet wool coat, and then smoked it- oh yeah..it even tasted kinda fishy!!). In your honest and expert opinions- do you really think the bud will be much more smokeable/dryable after a few more days of water curing? I sure hope so.... Damn, I wonder if I'll see roots start forming as these cuttings try and act like clones.... damnit!!!

I've also got an idea... I'd like to make photo journals of different strains all at the same week of flowering... for example: Album week 4 would be made up of peoples pics of their plants in week 4 of flower. I really think it would help everyone (mainly newer people) to compare how they're progress compares with others and to see how different strains perform (I'm in week 5.5 and I've got 6 females- I had told everyone 5, but when I moved them the otehr day I realized its 6. Of the 6, 5 are looking cool and 1 is weeks behind the rest- I guess I'll throw out those clones unless it does something spectacular in the next 3 weeeks!!).
