DWC Root Slime Cure aka How to Breed Beneficial Microbes

The after-slime has been talked about many times, and there were even several people posting pictures, asking "is this normal?"

Unfortunately it's been some time since I've read all the details and seen those pictures..
Is the slime supposed to be coating everything or just the older, heavily infected portions?

I've got a seedling that's been through a recent equipment malfunction and is now being treated with tea. 20160405_230648.jpg Does this look like normal recovery to you guys?? The new roots are all coming in nice and clean, but the older parts are looking even worse than before.

I've heard the old roots never recover and the best thing u can prob do is try to get that gunky shit of somehow and hope the new roots recuperate and save the plant... just what i heard tho

Do I see blue buckets? I made same mistake..a buddy afterwards told me to paint them ..then another buddy said home depot has black buckets.. :( I only gotta Lowes.. Lights getn thru! Dont believe me?? Stick a flash light inside at nite.. Tell me if u see light thru it..what lights u using? I had a 600w hid I was stunting my kids and breeding algae.. Due to ppl saying blue don't let grow light get in..Bs! Algae was a inch thick almost... Fixed the problem then put in organic golden tree (I didn't know as its a secret) made my system a septic..I only put a tiny tiny bit too! That's shit is fn strong! I tested it outdoors in soil..day 2 barely notice any difference.. Idk if I can or possed to but I used Humboldt oneness and Verde for a foliar and the golden tree on 2 plants..to see if its good.

Hey just posting this just in case someone runs into the same problems I did. heres some backround I struggled with rdwc for a year found the tea recipe from this forum
and instantly got amazing results for 1-2 years. Out of nowhere my roots started dying no slime no smell crystal clear water nothing on roots they just decayed and browned.
This happend for about 6 months while I limped to the finish for 3 crops with less then average yields.

I'm now pretty sure the problem was too much molasses in the tea, this never crossed my mind because I've used the exactly same recipe tea with success for almsot 2 years.
Odd thing was it would seem sometimes the tea turned out fine and the plants would thrive than the very next week of brand new tea must have had some molasses because the roots
would brown within 3 days of nute change. I used 15 ml molasses for 2 gallons of tea and sub b/m bubbles 48 hours never sooner tea water temp 73 res temps 71. I originally thought that my
RDWC system must've had supercharged bad bacteria that got use to the tea and now the tea isnt effective anymore.

2 days ago I pulled the trigger on great white and just used it as stated on the bottle and now new white roots are growing, no brew no molasses.
I know it would cost hell of a lot more but it seems worth it for what I went through for the last 6 months. I might practice brewing the tea again in the future cause honestly
when it worked it was amazing nothing compared h202 bleach chiller at 65f didnt even get me to flower. For now though I will be using Great white only.

side note: I only ever used gh micro bloom and calimagic so no organics.

Yo I need help. Gotta 18 gallon reservoir growing white widow I just changed out the water yesterday and now the leafs are dropping. I use calimag. Fox farm hydro. Ando the liquid plant food. Didn't use it this water change because I used it last time and it says every other water to use. I used Epsom salt last water because they were getting yellow. The pH has been adjusted as well. Don't know what is causing it at this point

Better then tea and h2o2 easy on the roots too.. Had nasty brown cloudy water in dwc now crystal clear. I stand by CX hydro and wilt gaurd. My hydro guy is smart and was 100% correct ..its used for many many purposes. Google CX hydro . you'll thank me.

I've seen what the tea can do when done right, its amazing but when it went south it was baddddd. Only thing that has come close to tea that I've tried is
Great white expensive but its worth it. Never heard of wilt guard, doubt its better than tea though when tea worked it was insane.

Hey all, think I could use Foxfarm Big Bloom instead of the earthworm casings to breed bennies? It's real low NPK just made from earthwork casings and bat guano...

Think you could use advanced nutrients
Voodoo juice
Piranna
And tarantula to make a crazy tea? There on the way in the mail going to try it I'll post some results soon

tarantula and voodoo juice might be the same thing, add EWC. Make sure you have lots of air and easy on the molasses.
Hydroguard is the same as voodoo juice and a lot cheaper. Go with voodoo juice/piranha( people say fungi should be added end of tea brew , i alway added at beginning no problems.) EWC and molasses.
