Def going to try using those X channel extrusions as sinks/frame next time.
Would look great cosmetically. With the Tnutz connectors you can even get the hangers. Almost went this route on this build.
Didn't think about them as sinks, but I bet it would work great.

Thanks guys! I’ll let ya know what I’m gonna use/do soon. I’m trying to build a rather large light. I want I single light set up in a 8x10 room. Gonna try to build a 1200 watt monster
My suggestion would be to build 2 units with 8 44" bars each using the HLG-600H-48A. That would put you at 1.56A per bar. Or 2 of the HLG-320H-48A drivers per 8 bars/unit. That would put you at 1.68A per bar. Look for 3.0A+ bars and try to get around 55-65 % max watts per bar. For example if a bar at max is capable of 200 watts, at 4.0 amps, you push 2.0A to it for 100W, if that makes sense. Efficiency is the key :eyesmoke:

I just took a screen shot of this. Also.. I’m having issues sourcing the leds. So if you come across a supplier that ships to the U.S for a decent price let me know.

I’m goin Cob’s guys! I can get em cheaper n still set them up in a nice frame n everything about them screams easier. And it will be 1500 watts when it’s done :leaf:. I’m gonna try at least. We gon find out boys! Lmfao. Only real question is what kind of heat are we talking from cobs running at about 50w? (Oh yay... more research).

New development...... goin led strip, got my drivers n heat sinks n led strips. Waiting for framing from 80/20. (Severely unsatisfied with their shipping policy) apparently if you order cut pieces it won’t be filled till the end of the month. I was not told this and their was no lead time posted for cut pieces. After the fact I was told about tnutz.com where I coulda had it filled already. But the build will commence sometime after the 23rd of this month. I ordered my parts at the beginning of the month. Ridiculous!

Nice, sucks to wait on framing, hope it looks good and turns out. Here are pics from my latest build. Build was strictly for veg. 4 5k and 2 3k, H-Iflux strips. Fits perfect in a 3x3 for veg20210412_170833.jpg20210412_170833.jpg

Update - one of 80/20’s employees told me to order it through amazon and it has to be filled on time. Woulda been nice to know that from the start.
