Wow, this thread is huge now.

With regards to foilage pro or liquid grow, I think for MJ the pro is the way to go.

Many studies on industrial hemp have found that cannabis's ideal nutrient ratio is
3-1-2. This is the exact ratio of F-pro. Also, companies like Advanced have begun to change their ratios to reflect this. Its funny because this info has been around for decades but no one paid attention. Advanced hired a team of scientists and did study after study only to find out what many already knew. 3-1-2 is best and they ammended their formulas to reflect this. Their formulas are all basically 3-1-2 now. Its funny because they released a video about this amazing find, but really it was only news to them and all the hobbyists.
I dont expect GH to change their formula as they seem to try to distance themselves from MJ at all costs ( even though MJ growers are 99% of their customers). I'm sure the others will though.

Given this information I would bet F-pro would work best with the mag pro added during flowering.

what do ya think?

Has any of you every used KLN as a replacement for Great White or H&G root excelerator? From what its mainly for rooting clones.

When want to stay synthetic.

Thanks

just wondering if you guys still add gro during flowering or if you use just bloom and mag-pro???

I have been running 8ml bloom and 4ml mag-pro plus some cal-mag and it seems like i could use more nitrogen. I was thinking of adding like 3ml gro into the rotation to help keep 'em nice and healthy green. What do you think

My recent batch I ran with a little less than 3ml of grow for the first three weeks. They were plenty green until I flushed them two weeks before harvest. I've never done that before, but they seemed sooo green, I wanted to back off the chlorophyll before I harvested. Right now, I'm going without the extra N and I'm not at day 35 and they are quite a bit paler, but I'm going to finish this batch without any N to see if there's much yield difference.

thanks shunk-- I just did my first res change in flower day ten, and i did add 3 ml. grow I could tellthe differance after just a week.

here's what i run in flower
3ml grow
10ml bloom
4ml mag pro
5 ml pro tect
4 ml cyco zyme (real similar to hygrozyme just cheaper)
8ml bud candy
4ml cal-mag
4 ml. cyco swell (bud hardener/booster for last 2 weeks befor harvest)

As i was mixing i was thinking man thats a lot of shit to mix in there. but the plants seem to be loving it soo....

lol. I just use the 4 dyna-gro products throughout. Midflower now I'm using 0 grow, 10 ml bloom, 5ml protekt, 4ml mag-pro.

What do you get from the cal-mag? there's a little N in there, but you are already supplementing mg and s with the mag-pro.

I have some hygrozyme but I stopped using it when I discovered it was derived from fermented chicken shit (smells like sour apple cider to me). I like a sterile operation. Sometimes I put .5ml bleach in my reservoir. Al b fuct says I'm an idiot but I already knew that!

Growing weed is a results oriented game. If somethings work for you, keep em. Chuck the rest, I say. I'll try some additives by and by. Now that I'm flowering on a five week schedule, real R&D becomes possible. :D

I need the cal mag as i use RO water and end up with deficencies (spelling?) As far as the Zymes I had root rot and user the zyme to kinda slow it down enought to make a harvest, I figured if it well help cure problems like those I should be useing it all the time. The booster was a impluse buy the shop owner suggested and i took it hook line and sinker, we'll see

i do believe you are mistaken mag-pro contains no calcium or magnisium. there for it is needed unless you are getting it from a different source

As with most things, I indeed could be wrong but I have personally discontinued Cal_Mag since using Mag-Pro for the last few grows. I wish you luck either way my friend and was simply relaying my experience.

Bumping this old thread, some useful info in here.

I wanted to convert percentages labeled on 9-3-6 to ppm and found some nutrient calculators in a search. In sending the result to Dyna-Gro for verification, they said that the actual ppm are:

114.75 ppm Nitrogen
38.25 ppm Phosphorous
76.5 ppp Potassium

for 1 tsp/gal of Foliage -Pro or 17 oz/100 gal.

Does anyone have a formula or calculator that can get to these numbers? My goal for this is discover the amount of Calcium and Magnesium expressed not in % but in ppms.
