Eastcoast is worst coast

In terms of quality, finding a dispensary to buy product, obtaining products/ customer service etc, legalization in the northeast doesn't seem too, well... "legal" yet. it's been great so far but there are just a lot of things that are not right, unlike the westcoast... the W/C from my experience has their shit together with legalization. It's so easy to walk into a dispensary in Las Vegas and get your weed, say what you want and it will be ready at the counter for you in 5 minutes, not in the eastcoast... currently in Massachusetts some (not all) dispensaries require you to make an appointment and wait till the place opens before hand, I really dont see why this is neccessary for recreational marijuana, now I could see it having to do with the capacity of people bombarding into the dispensary but I dont think it's a plausible excuse because the 10 dispensaries that are located in the middle of Vegas are practically apocalyptic most of the time and bare no souls inside, and they are all walk in dispensaries, no bullshit appointment required. Speaking from quality, E/C marijuana isn't bad but not as great at the W/C, and if you want top quality you're better off just buying from your street dealer, you will also get more marijuana with the money you have off of the street than you would here in a dispensary in the E/C, it's a joke... I've also never understood why rural places voted no for marijuana to be legalized but to get some I need to drive out into the middle of eastbumblefuck, what's even more ironic is that urban areas voted yes to legalization but voted no to dispensaries opening in major cities... it's like "yeah sure you can smoke weed, but I don't know where the fuck you're going to get it, because I'm an irresponsible asshole who doesn't want it around my children so everyone has to pay the price" yeah it sucks...

TL;DR: westcoast is much more lenient in terms of legalization

The west coast has always been more accepting of cannabis. Specifically British Columbia and California (I can't speak for the states in between; I've only visited briefly a few times). It's never been like that out east. I've lived on both coasts (and a few places in between), and it has always been more expensive and less understood/accepted out east.

Either way, legalization is just a big money grab. Trying to take a market by force, and turning it into a corporate and political greed coup.

They can all go screw themselves.

I'm growing in mass, but it's definitely schizo. We can grow, possess, consume in our homes and gift.

We still can't legally buy seeds. We can't legally consume in any public location. There is no real med growing path.

And as you mentioned, the koch brother is strong in local communities which are all too frequently voting no to dispenseries.

It's disgusting. But it's still working.

Couldn't agree anymore with this, cannabis is bad until you can make money from it lol

northeast coast is pretty gray as well though, so I mean the underground market is pretty strong
I think the underground market will always remain strong while the legal trade is left in the dust, most people around here dont really see the need for dispensaries it seems. It's cheaper and you get much more for your dollar getting off the streets

purple punch, tropicanna cookies, punch breath, orange-ade, and mimosa
paying a little less than 200$/oz, beats dispensary quality and is much cheaper!

you can legally buy seeds, as a souvenier or collectors item and not to be grown. They can get confiscated through customs easy though, because that is a little different.

We got so much going on in the East plus the trucks after trucks from the west rolling in. A lot of very good weed. I have never bought from a dispensary, for all I know they suck.

They get confiscated by customs, not the state of MA. And yes, under the farm bill it isn't federally a crime to ship seeds, BUT...

In MA, no retail store is legally able to sell seeds to rec growers. Even at NECAN, there will be no vendor with thc seeds. Only legal hemp/cbd products can be sold; including seeds.

Immaculate conception only. But no, they aren't looking to stop seeds sent through the mail.

"The East" is too broad a category. For example, New England has five different states, each with its own laws and issues. When Mass went recreational legal, there was a rush to the dispensaries. They had to ration to maintain a supply. Bear in mind, what you buy in a Mass dispensary has been tested and comes from a registered grower. It does wind up being overpriced, and I've had some too-dry strains that lacked terps. The West Coast (include Colorado?) has a much longer history of legalization, so things have stabilized. You can buy better weed in Oregon, for less than half the price of legal Mass weed. So I agree, no contest between the coasts, but time should level it out.

I know exactly what you're talking about, it was so hard to find bud in my old town about a year or two ago and if you did it was Mexican brick schwago horse hay... things seem to be booming again although I havent bought anything there in a while

NE ny the underground market here is very strong. In 11 years of living here I came across ONE SEED in bag weed. And I buy 1.5 ounces a month for head stash if I don't have my own harvest. I've driven to NETA and Theory Wellness in Mass to try their dispensary weed, its no better then the underground market here and almost TWICE the price.
