EC question

Hi,

my EC was 1.6 in veg, ive got some 5ft monsters but I was using 5ml per litre of grow and 2.5ml of root stimulator

I’m not going to use the root stimulator through flower, should my EC in week 1 still be at 1.6 or can it be lower at say 1.3 without the root stim?

im in 30L pots in soil and just flipped the lights to 12/12 today so looking to fill the res with my flower feed now.

If you’ve just flipped the lights I find EC demand to be higher during stretch and then settle down after they stop stretching.

Maybe keep it at 1.6 or even up to 1.8 for the 2 weeks while they vigorously grow during the stretch then back it down to 1.6-1.4 etc after stretch and watch for any signals that they need more or less etc.

So the nutrient company recommends 4ml per litre, I was already giving 5ml per litre and 2.5ml root stim… so I’m going to be at about 7.5ml per litre of just flower nutes?
Thanks for your help, I’ll give it a go at 1.7 ish

Nutrient company guides are just that. Guides.

personally I multi feed per day in coco at 0.7EC lol.

If I was growing trees I would be higher in EC.

No nutrient company guide can tell you what to feed As there are a multitude of factors that go into it.

environmental variables, plant size, feeding frequency etc etc.

I’m every 3 days at 1.6ec but I’m guessing they’re going to drink a lot more now they’ve been flipped. Thanks for your help as always buddy!
