I should have put down a screen as training to the tomato cage is getting a little difficult but the good news is that I'm getting growth & root development my 3 gal. Smart pot is now full of roots every couple of days I'm having to bend limbs & tie them in place I've been hesitant to do a lot of leaf removal but as the stretch builds momentum I'm gonna have to do some removal to allow all my bud sites light I'm still not altogether happy but things could be a lot worse

Tomorrow I try out ph- down from the hydro shop I can't believe I haven't tried the waterfarm yet as its been sitting around for awhile the buds are almost here I did however get to look at & smell my friends el- diablo as its drying I now feel better about running this as it looks like pure fire I'm getting massive root development & the mk- ultra X bubblegum is off to a healthy start making me so far very happy with th- seeds everything I've planted from them has popped this one is soon to be inducted into the waterfarm

Just a thought but ur rockwool is oversaturated ..that algae bloom will deprive the cube of oxygen and nutrients and the things could get ugly. Try to time urvwatering cycles to allow ur cubes to lighten up. Never dry but just lighter in water weight before u water again.

That r/w block sat around in the room for about 3 weeks after I ph'd it it had the algae before I put the seedling in it thanks for the advice I'll definatly monitor the situation

My nutes have been sitting in the reservoir a few days & the ph is 7.6 I added 10 m/l of the ph down I'll check in about an hour

Looking good Herk. I like the pH in my res to be 5.8. Be careful with the pH down, a tiny bit does a lot! I fill a jug up with water and add 10 drops into it, and slowly keep adding bits into the res while stirring until I get to the pH I want. If you put too much in then use Silicon to raise the pH back up.

Thanks stickman I've got something haywire in either my water or my nutes you have to consider this stuff has been in storage while we sold one house & bought another I was legal to grow but had to sign a disclosure for the real estate agent to list my home for sale rather argue the point I just shut everything down I have new nutes & additives but for my own peace of mind I have to find out the exact cause of my ph being so difficult to control I've always fed in the 5.6--5.8 neighborhood & had my res set on a timer to flood once a day about 3 days would go by & the ph would rise to 6.2 or so then I would top off adjust ph & all was good so my goal is before this grow is done & when I fire up the waterfarm I'm gonna get this figured out thanks for stopping by up until this week it's been pretty lonesome around here

My tds meter is a cheapie I know I'll be needing a decent ppm or ec meter I'm gonna have to do some research as in e&f you can get by without one but I can see what a useful tool to have that being said I might have to wing it for awhile
