To me it seems like another stupid ass druggy movie, but if u plan tripping acid or shrooms with this then it could be fun, but i could never watch this sober...i bet the sister and brother are in for some incest at some point, dunno why

I think this movie goes well beyond any other drug movie. You could call this a porno flick at some points too. I think it captures the human condition beautifully. Love, death, tragedy, sex, drugs, friendships.. I do agree that Bro and Sis have some serious sexual tension though ;)

Edit: And watching ETV sober was nearly as good..

Wow you missed the whole movie ... it actually had very little to do with drugs.

Yes that night was a night to remember :) Definately check it out, it's a great movie for L. EVERYTHING works out, all is happy, and even the tense moments have a good amount of comic relief :)

hahahhaha ohh man puffer is too right you missed the whole movie.

The brother sister incestuous attraction was because of the tramatic events they shared. Both of them witnessing their parents die before their eyes, when they had no control over wether they lived or died. Then they were separated, and in the end scarred for life from their parents dying. The only person that understood what they were going through was themselves, and their relationship in the end is blurred. They each had a reach for connection beyond brother/sister because only THEY TRULY understood. I don't believe there was ever any incest though.

The whole "understanding" was kind of explained as that mom he fucked asked about his parents, if they were in town.. He saw the flashback, his parents bloody and dead, and his sister screaming covered in blood. You can't understand what that is like unless it happened to you, and he awkwardly explained that they 'passed a long time ago'. He doesn't need to explain anything to his sister, she just understands and that makes him love her but the line where the love turns to incest is blurred.

Wow you missed the whole movie ... it actually had very little to do with drugs.
I don't think he takes loosey, he just saw the visuals and flashes and thought to himself, "this would be cool on drugs I've never taken, but without being on drugs it sucks"

I havent seen the movie, my opinion is just based on those trailers and on my own narrow mind  i may watch it, but then i need some plotter !

Finally got around to watching this. I wasn't expecting what it turned out to be.

Side note, he should have listened to his friend.

Wow I just saw a thread about this movie on /psy/ not five minutes ago, and wrote the title down in my journal. Can't wait to watch it, I hear the opening credits are amazing.

I'm not sure if I'd want to watch it on lucy. The visuals in the movie would make it crazy, but it's pretty depressing too. I would say the first trip visuals in the movie are great. The opening credits didn't stick in my mind.

On L, I was able to put myself directly into Oscars head ... as the focal point and our hero moved .... I was able to ingest the story through his eyes ... as it unfolded in multiplicity of colors.
That was the most rewarding experience for me.

I was able to do the same sober. Being that's how the movie is designed. It did take me two days, separated by one, for me to finish it. Maybe if I had watched it straight through I would have a different opinion. The whole time I was wondering if Oscar just got Scrooged by DMT. At least, that's what I was hoping.

The movie gave me a slight case of vertigo, too. I kept wanting to look up. :p
