Everclear instead of iso for hash ?

it will work fine, takes longer to evaporate than iso but will work fine
remember if you want the light yellow / golden type oil, only let it sit in alcohol for a short time
or it will extract all the nasty shit and you will end up with that horrible tar looking oil that folk with cancer like to eat
which is not really for smoking

nothing to tell ...but common sence..if you use distillates lets say 90%...the other ten percent IS LEFT BEHIND... what would make you think it evaporates?, also using white gas(my preferred method)..if it contains rust inhibitor IT GETS LEFT BEHIND.....im not here to argue this crap but really..its common sence and jmho...

Ok I will post results and differences.
I ended growing way too much popcorn ( Thumb size and smaller ) Thought I would have more time to grow. Planned on chopping off colas and allowing popcorn to grow a couple extra weeks...but the plants faded too fast.

You don't melt the sugars man, your leeching the material for the essential oil. Sure you can use your ethanol to leech. Only problem is the chloryphyll and chloroplast you leech out also. If I were you I'd use butane, its easy to get, doesn't leech the chloryphyll gives you sum decent honey oil. The only other way to do it with a solvent, and get decent results, you have to use chloroform or benzene.
If I could do it any other way I would.
But I can't.
So I used Everclear and Iso....waiting for it to dry. It's on a heating pad evaporating as I type.
Have 4 different plates.
One with a QWISO ( 30 second )
One with QWEC ( 30 second )
The other 2 are Iso and Everclear with longer washes.
The QW with Everclear came out a golden greenish color.
Don't really care about wasting it. Got plenty of weed to dick around with....and I'm bored.
First results.
I will be making a journal or blog about comparisons between QWISO and QWEC and longer washes with each, just a heads up for those who want to know.
The QWEC looks by far the best ! The QWISO also looks looks good , but still is retaining a slightly off putting smell. Hopefully it will evaporate.
Both QW results are an almost sandy brown in color, there was however half the end result of the longer washes, as far as weight.
The longer washes produced more but were almost black.
They are all still drying on the heating pad and will post taste and high results of each.
