Excuse to customs for hydroponic solution

Guys, I live in quite a strict country with strict laws. The company I use to send my solutions here sent my last shipment (about 10 bottles of grow/bloom) via tracked shipment. This means the local customs office has grabbed them and sent me a letter to pick them up.

It means I have to go down, open the parcel in front of them and explain what they're for. I don't mind doing this, but just wondering what excuse I can use?

i.e. I'm hydroponically growing tomatoes. :)

Try to have a little family business so you are legal - here we have a legal form of business called something like "family agricultural business" all you needed for that is 1000m2 (and you don't need to own it just lease it) of LAND that you need to report to "local government office" - and if you are not in a working relationship (have a job) you need to pay some taxes equivalent to minimal wage tax.

Check you countries laws but it makes everything easier.

i would go pick my items up . your allowed to grow veggies right ? what country you in ? some parts of the world is crazy they will cut your hands off for looking at somebody wrong . if they stopped your items they want a reason why you want them . go there answer there questions . and tell your wife or so on if you dont call her back in 20 minutes to get rid of the tomatoes . burn them . they could break your door down ?

Going there on Monday. They can come and kick my door down, there's nothing in my house. - Luckily I'm not in the Philippines. Jesus - that's a scary thought.

Telephone them asking if you have any import tax to pay and how much is it so that you know to bring cash with you that way you can find out what the mood is see what they say and like Doc says, it could be a simple tax to pay.

I've dealt with customs here in on many occasion. They're more corrupt than the police and horrible to deal with.

Basically when you go there, they ask you to open the box in front of them. Then they inspect what is there. They take the product out and they'll google it on the internet to work out the cost. This is my concern, because when you google this hydroponic solution, the first thing that comes up is pages of cannabis forums.

We're not even allowed to import coffee here for personal use. Any coffee that is seized, I don't bother to pick it up.

Whatever you import, even coffee, the first thing they'll say is "ohhh big problem. Can not import. big problem..." Then they'll fuck about calling people for 30 minutes, looking on the computer and opening different books whilst saying "big problem" over and over again. Eventually they'll come up with some figure in their head that you must pay.

Would it help to give off the impression that you ordered the nutes for your mom or aunt? Like, walk in with a written list of what you ordered and act like you know nothing about growing vegetables, but your mom got a longterm supply for cheap online.

Might help divert the suspicion if you can feign ignorance?
