I cant afford it!!!!!!! I'm a college student who spent around almost a thousand so far on my grow set up with all the cost included. Im just like many new growers working with what I got praying for the best. I just cant afford that one thing at this point. I know buying that would help. I just cant keep blowing blowing blowing blowing blowing blowing and blowing more money. I have other bills that are more important like my car insurance. Its what ever at this point if it fucking fails it fails, but I can't keep blowing money. I paid my fair share at this point. Im not a newbie complaining how much it cost and I only spent 50-100 dollars. I spent almost a thousand with all expenses included. Like I said my goal is 2ounces a plant, but if I get one ounce a plant, atleast I broke even and will be in the positive. I dont know how everybody else did it years ago without all this fancy stuff.

No, an ounce per plant is terrible but if you like powdery mildew on your weed, you're good!
As long as its not to bad and gets me high its what ever . I spent years of my life buying weed off the street you think I didn't smoke molded weed or bugs before?

Open your tent set a good fan at the opening leave it open and set back and watch the difference that happens in 3 weeks with just that much air exchange...

I don't understand your point. You can get an exhaust fan for less money than a dehumidifier... plus, 60% humidity is not that bad.

Well you spent more than you needed to. What did you spend the $1000 on and didn't even get an exhaust fan? You can get a 200 CFM 4" fan for under $50. If smell isn't an issue then you can skip the carbon filter and just hang the fan from the top and exhaust out of one of the top vents. That will pull air in through the bottom vents giving you some air exchange in the tent.

I guess you just dont have as high of expectations as most of us here which is fine.

I know I wouldnt spend all that money and time just to have a good chance of ending up with bud rot but thats just me.

You said you had over 400 invested before and now its a grand. What did you spend the other 550 on?

Thank you for some positivity. I just need to make it one grow. Just one. Im sure we all started in subpar conditions. I know I started growing the worst out of the worst conditions. I improved each time. Hell I used miracle grow my first time .

I need a 6" fan for my tent. I spent around 100 on my first crappy light, 14 for my pots, 45 for nutrients, 200 for tent, 230 for new lamp, 20 for humidity and temp checker, 40 for first batch of seeds, 40 the next batch will I killed all of them, 60 my next batch, electricity will prob around 200 some, and dirt was like 60 total for two big bags of dirt.

Yes a 6" would be better but any airflow is better than none and you can also get a cheaper 6" 440 CFM fan for $55.

I grow successfully with 85/90% humidity in the room, without dehumidifier... just phynosanytary products in preventive tratment and GOOD AIR FLOW... it's the most important thing in that kind of situation... with 60% humidity, you certainly does not need a dehumidifier.
So forget about it, buy a cheap exhaust fan, your plant will love to get a bit of fresh air and air flow, and you won't get mold issues. Nothing else to say.

Omg!!!! One mf saying that won't help, now your say the humidifier will work, ugh!!! What is it that will work? Your sure the humidifier will work? Which one do you recommend?
Im trying to go through cheap this grow. I already spent around 500 on the grow set up this time around, so not trying to get more and more crap. What do you think I need out of those two?
Bro you spent 500 dont let 50$ for a good exhaust ruin your grow with mold, you can get away with higher Rh if you have superb air flow. But you almost guarantee mold with high rh and No airflow

Exhaust fan way more important than dehuey. As the plants grow, more and more water is released into the air it will build up, also c02 in the ambient air get used up and needs replaced.

Just thought of something tho, how hot is your tent with the light on and what sort of light is it.

Doing things correctly does cost money, and lacking that can cost even more. Everyone here is just trying to save you the heartache and disappointment we have all been thru when the grow gets bud rot or powdery mildew and has to be thrown away. Honestly, ventilation is just as important as having a good light, a good tent, good fertilizer, good genetics and good watering. Leave one out and the results are compromised. You'll see, and someday laugh at the fact that you went so long without good ventilation.

It's almost like you are determined to do everything wrong, before you do it right.
I am a master at doing things the hard way. I just bought a dehumidifier. It's what ever. I have some people say the exhaust will not take care of humidity, some say the exhaust will work, other say its ok to have super high humidity now, . I always get a million conflicting statements. I just went with what I think will make fix. The exhaust i s more a temp issue than a humidity issue. Even though I understand it affects multiple things. I just cant risk buying one and it not solving the problem, then boom I got mold . Then what wS the point of buying the exhaust. I got a very decent one from Facebook marketplace. I cant imagine a good dehumidifer wont bring down the humidity. My temps been ranging from 68-77 degrees which is fine. I live in a humid state as well, plus its in a basement. Either way there is no good answer here. I dont want to buy both, and the odds are buying both will be the best option. I just got to get what I think will fix the issue. How many of you guy started with the most fanciest equipment? I cant imagine everybody here had the full package in one shot
