That's probably why statistically it happens to blacks far more often than whites, even though blacks are only 13% of the population. I'm sure that's just coincidental.
Mother Jones? Have you ever considered that it might be because most blacks live in high crime neighborhoods and cities? Do you think cops react to crime, or law abiding citizens? Do you think that the enormous amounts of black on black crime might have something to do with cops being called to the scene? Not to mention the tremendously upside down proportion of black on white crime vs. white on black. And then even further more doesn't include the sexual assault convictions of black men on white women. Almost never does a white man rape a black woman.

Education WILL do black communities a tremendous amount of justice. If we can teach kids that police don't want to kill them, then they will react differently; and most likely not become a victim of police brutality. The odds will dramatically go down, if police are seen as peace officers, rather than predators.

Freddy Grey died while in the custody of six officers. Two of them being black. He had a history of causing self inflicting injuries to claim police brutality.
Unfortunately too many cops signed on because they get control. Make people fear. Many are obviously exactly predators
