meanwhile, behind the facade of this innocent seeming news network...
over the years i have see shit stories crafted from lies half truths exaggerations and pure bullshit from EVERY major network. just a few examples from my dope addled memory:
PBS Frontline: after an unsual but entirely natural event where the Jet Stream touched down in the rockies and knocked over a swath of forest 4 miles wide and 20+ miles long, Frontline used images of those trees, laid out like a a bald guy's bad combover in a story about LOGGING, and they described the images shown as "one of the many clearcuts destroying our national wilderness areas" such horse shit.
Dateline NBC: Maria shriver did a voiceover for some footage about a guy who's 16 year old daughter accidentally found his pistol while making his bed. the video showed a .22 claiber revolver, but Mrs Schwarzenegger described it as "an extremely powerful .357 magnum handgun" ohh the lols were indescribable The gun wasnt even loaded, and was stored in accordance with the laws of the time, and nobody was harmed or even inconvenienced, except the dude who had to get his gun back from the cops after his daughter freaked out thinking owning a gun was illegal.
snitches get stitches bitch.
Time Magazine: layers of photoshop blackface to "nig up" OJ Simpson for the cover. poor Juice cannot catch a break.
San Jose Mercury News: torrid tales of a threat to some "wetlands" in Napa County... these "wetlands" were an artificial salt marsh created in the 1930's to make sea salt for the Mortons Company, and when they silted up becoming useless for salt production they moved to a new location letting the flood plain reclaim the land. OHH NOES!! we must invest millions to preserve an artificial salt flat from the horrors of the natural environment!
RT: just a few weeks ago, RT ran a dumbass story about Lionfish in the south coast of the US, where they are an invasive species. RT Bimbo wonders aloud "couldnt people catch them and eat them?" pure genius.
meh you get the idea.
