FAN LEAVES turning light green but branches dark green, purple and blue spots.

hi, im in day 50 with my plants and i was over nutrienting my plants as you can see by the pic of the spotted leaves. i flushed the soil 5 days ago and now my big plants are starting to show similar signs. it starts from the bottom with light green spots on the leaves then they turn light green but whats weird is at the node, the fan leaf is what turns light green but the branch stays dark green for a long time as i showed in the pictures. it turns color like this. just the fan leaves turn light green from bottom to top then when all the leaves have turned light then the branch leaves start from bbottom til top. im using cfl lights and was using plant spikes 20-20-20 mixed with some water in nutes 5-7-5 but when i saw that dry leaves with spots on my smallest plant i flushed the soil with many gallons of water. please help PICTURE #5 AND #7 SHOWS THE FAN LEAVES BELOW THE BRANCH LEAVES ... PIC #6 SHOWS HOW THE FIRST LEAVES THAT TURNED BEFORE I DID THE FLUSH... PIC#4 SHOWS HOW SOME OF THE LEAVES THAT ARE STARTING TO TURN LOOK ... PIC#2 SHOWS HOW THE 1ST PLANT TO SHOW SYMTOMS IS SO FAR GONE THAT THE LIGHT GREEN HAS TOTTALY COVERED THE PLANT, ITS BEEN SHOWING SYMTOMS THE LONGEST AND WAS THE ONLY PLANT TO HAVE LEAVES LIKE IN PIC6

Typically, spike do not contain all nutrients needed. May I suggest a light feeding with a complete nutrient solution. Try GH Flora 3 part, ot Cutting Edge 3 part. Another one to try for just micros is Eart Juice Microblast. Since you're using spikes you're not going organic. In that case, you're better off using a complete hydro solution.

When you flushed the soil, you leeched out the nutrients.... what you are reading as a sign of over feeding is actually just the opposite....

The second and 3rd picture clearly show calcium deficiency.... a flush was the wrong answer...

if i switch to my flowering nutes which is 12-55-6 super bloom plant food will this correct the problem?
No. You need a COMPLETE nutrient solution....not just NPK. I have a feeling the super bloom "plant food" doesn't contain the other 10 elements needed for a plant to grow. The little defects you have now are nothing compared to what will happen when they start flowering without the needed nutes. Bite the bullet and go purchase a COMPLETE nutrient solution. There are about a hundred of them out there. I like either GH Flora or Cutting edge...both 3 part liquid...both simple to use...both under 40 bucks for 3 quart kit.

i just bought earth juicegrow(2-1-1) and calmag...will this do the trick? i just started flowering 3days ago
Now you're getting there. Make sure the micros are in the Grow. If not, pick up a jug of Earthjuice Microblast. I'm with Serapis and believe the CalMag will give you good results solving your current problem.

ok i bought a total of earth juice grow, earth juice bloom and earth juice catalyst with the calmag does anybody know if that is a full setup with all the nutrients a plant needs?

You have to read the back of the bottles. You should come up with a total of 13 elements: Primary: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potasium, Secondary: Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur, and the 7 micros which I can't remember all off the top of my head. Someone here may be able to give me a hand. I know you've gone down this Eartjuice road, but the easiest way to do this is either a 3 part or 2 part COMPLETE hydroponic nutrient solution. If you're lacking Sulfur (which you may be), Botanicare Sweet contains plenty. If you still need the micros (which you may), Earthjuice Microblast has them. Next time just grab a 3 part kit of General Hydroponics Flora 3 Part and be done with it. The directions will show you exactly how to mix everything for every stage of the growing cycle, which you're not going to have the route you've gone.

Believe it or not, i use only one bottle of nutes, well, 2 if you count my Cal-Ma supplement. I use GH Flora Nova Bloom... that's it... it has everything....

That is a great nute. Great for keeping things simple. I'm a fan of 3 part systems...but that's just me. I like Cutting Edge nutes. The point is to the OP, make sure you're using complete nutes.

i grabbed a bottle of NSR greenleaves BLOOM JUICE for budding and flowering at my nearby plant shop to solve this problem while i wait an eternity for my earthjuice to come in via ebay. the guy at the counter said its an all in one complete formula but like collective gardner said, i read the back of the bottle and it only says nitrogen, phosphate, potash, calcium,& magnesium, damn im starting to figure out how complicated this nutrient stuff is. i think im just going to go with the all in one flora next time....thanks for the info guys, im alot better off now then i was when i started this thread. you guys know what your talking about and i appreciate the help
