From seed White Widow from Greenhouse and Ice from Nirvana were my favorite late 90s strains. Honorable mention BCSC NL#5 and KC Brains Mango. The days of easy to figure out genetics and less hybridization long gone.

You guys remember looking at Marc Emery catalogs? Fun times!!!
Had a pheno of ice in 2007-2009 was straight money. She was frosty, strong, great flavor and could withstand temps past 90f and never molded over.

I actually had an order in with Marc's company for some seeds. I ended up getting one of the letters the dea sent out telling me my order was seized and to send more money with my real address. Needless to say I didn't send shit in but damn those were crazy times.

The only sought-after chemos on the Western Slope of Colorado in the mid 80's early 90's that I was aware of was Purple Paonia Paralizer. It was the gold standard back then when everything else was lacking. Here is a bit of history.

Kali Mist was big in the early-mid 2000s. The legit Kali Most had an excellent potency, really nice high.
Kali Mist still is awesome. Serious doesn't abandon their strains like so many other breeders do, chasing the next big FOTM payday. Also unlike many other popular breeders, Serious actually employs modern horticultural practices in their breeding program. I'd take Kali Mist over any of the current popular dispensary strains.

Even Fruity Cookie Gelato Cake Sherbert Cream Puff? That one is a real game changer I hear!

My favorite was killer Blueberry cut dubbed the shit that killed Elvis, around ‘98. Train wreck was a favorite until it started giving me heart palpitations. There was some pine sol smelling shit with the sugar leaves neatly wrapped around the nugs, street herb, it was a mystery skunk cross.

Ya that's the one I would really like to grow, the black widow from Mr Nice, you can definitely find some 8-9 week phenos, pretty sure some of the mango hazes have some fast finisher phenos for hazes. I remember the mango haze flower absolutely reeking of mangos and fruit. I grow so much cookie and cookie hybrids these days-gelatos, dosidos, wedding cake, and wedding pie....the list goes on. So when I see a beautiful strain like mango haze it looks just so different and exotic to me with its beautiful, huge dreadlocked buds, glistening with trichs.
Recently won a Mr Nice auction, picked up angle breath ( supposedly you want to chew the smoke it taste so much like a real mango), NHS and Afghan haze for about €50.
Super speedy delivery out to Australia too.
Will be running the angel breath next run alongside some super Malawi haze from Ace.

Champagne hashplant in the BC scene was on another planet, quality of extract and growth pattern made it a dream. Hope to be reunited one day.
Shark cut is still held in the lower mainland BC from a old timer, will pick up this spring pending all goes well.

I remember that bc hp like it was yesterday but was around late 90's early 2000. That hp was out of this world good. Id do just about anything if I could get it today !!! The bud was dark and dank as hell. So compact, tight and just dripping in resion with very little pistols on it. It was almost like cutting into an oil soaked spung with the scissors. The calyx's were so big and covered in resion. It was crazy. Never seen anything like it before or since. Smelled so dank, skunk and just like a chunk of hash. Smoked and tasted just like it smelled. And the high the high was incredible. Nice and calm body buzz, no anxiety or paranoia with it at all. Just happy and completely stoned out of your mind, for hours. Like 3-4 hrs. The hash plant scene in bc then was truly incredible. I have been looking for it ever since. I haven't been so lucky to find her. What I'd do for a cut of that !!
Let me know if you get your hands on her !!
Cheers & ✌ man

That’s the one, made the best bubble hash ever. That day and age of clone only cash crop cultivars in BC was revolved around what the consumer wanted. Juicy fruit (Jamaican) was, then overtook from the champagne (H2) . Overtook from the purple kush, into the OG and onward. After all, the kushes are the ‘bang for your buck’. I popped herm seed stock years back and came across a bunch of unstable stock. But I will keep you in mind if she appears ✅

I remember seeing an offer for these seeds on Strainly a while back. I like Paonia; I hunt elk not too far from there. And they grow some bomb ass apples.

Yeah I believe a lot of nirvana's early stuff was from posi and other places like female seeds.

Had a few bangers come out of those old $25 packs from nirvana
