Feminized seeds and Hermie plants.

Interesting. I have never had a hermie, ever, from regular seeds.

Also, your term "chemical inducement" is interesting, when you deny the stress factor in feminizing plants. It supports my opinion far better than it does yours. But we have gone through this before.
We have, and your still inexperienced and wrong!

That's almost impossible.
NOT, if you bring in out side air - unfiltered! VERY possible!

I had an occasion where one of my timers stopped working resulting in one of the lamp not switching off when it had to. Not sure if it could happen from something like this when it only happened once in flowering, but instead of 12 hours lof light for that day there probably was 36 hours of it in a row.

Could this kind of situation cause herming?
I would say NO. Many people accuse even minor light leaks as causing bisexuality (the real term). I have never had that happen and have had plenty of times where "light leaks" have happened from differing sources. Also several timer failures, giving long lighting periods - never got any "herming" from those!

You can stress the plants to make fem seeds or chemical induce to get fem seeds, it really depends on who you are as the breeder and your methods. I'm growing out a crop for a friend from some fem seeds and just had the same thing happen and the breeder uses the stress method.
NO professional breeder uses a "stress" method to create S1 seeds! NONE! No quality breeder of any kind uses a "stress" method to create S1 seeds! NO real breeder uses "stress" method to create S1 seeds!

If someone does? They don't really understand breeding and it's practice! THIS is how unstable and weak genetics slip into the mainstream and can negatively affect the gene pool. Some Moron who thinks he knows what he's doing. Does dip shit things like this and hands out or even sells his junk results to others. They spread and the possibility of someone else furthering the unstable line increases.....

At the least it gives people like @Quebed the idea (firmly) that "stress" is a method used by "breeders" to create S1 seeds!.

You understand better now Q?

I witnessed somebodys whole crop from a very stable cut out in Cali Herm out due to a bad light leak. I will however agree with Who that no professional breeder will use the stress method for fem seeds and that one little slip of the timer shouldn't make a crop go crazy. The crop that hermed out in cali was cuz of a constant light leak that wasn't found until after the crop.

Yes a similar issue hermied out some of my plants & I run all fem seed. The power company was shutting off the power for an hour each day for a week to install solar panels on some of my neighbors homes which screwed up my timers & stressed out the plants. I got visible nanners on some of them which seeded the rest. Sometimes it is from less than optimal conditions and sometimes they just throw a manner here or there for no apparent reason which is not always easy to see. Either way this is par for the course when you run femme seeds. Get regs if you want to eliminate this altogether but I like the convenience of fems and don't mind a few beaners every so often.
If you stay vigilant and check for male flowers growing on the buds late in bloom phase you can try to pull them off with a pair of zircon encrusted tweezers if found in time before they open. Just don't wait too long or they will poof out male pollen & possibly even spooge all over your virgin girlies....do it away from your other plants like in another room or something with no fans blowing.
If you get plants that are prone to hermies stop running them & pop new seeds and toss out any cuts from said plant. Optimal conditions can reduce chances of getting herms but some phenos/strains are just prone to throwing nanners even under perfect growing conditions.

Inexperience is irrelevant here. Facts are facts.
Bumbling, misinformed youth.

Just because you read it as opinion in other places or see it in some schmoe's video......SURE as fuck don't make it so.

Actual experience, seriously trumps your inexperience.

When is the last time to eliminate male flowers from the grow? .. or what's the right time if you don't want pollination?

Can someone please explain a bit?

Lets say there are plants grown out of feminized seeds - feminized grow. All plants are harvested with a descent yield averaging 0.8 grams per watt. How come some buds have seeds in them? Does it mean there had to be a hermie plant somewhere near?

Next question. How big of a harm could hermies do and what to do about it? Is it a real danger?
This happened to me recently, and happens often. A lot of people say they will be male but in my experience they are females every time.

My latest crop is from hermie seeds, and all females. I was strapped for cash and went with a gamble. Its paying off. Whether or not these fems have a better chance to hermie like their parents is beyond me.

Hermies can be a danger because they seed themselves and plants around them. I don't believe its as much pollen as a male but they sure can get around. I got 250+ seed from 2x 1.5 foot tall hermy autos that I isolated.

LOSER BET! Growing for just over 43 years! Put my first bean in the ground at 15. On a commune in N. Cali, under the guidance of an organic grower. 1973

Just gave my hermie children plants a good look over, no male parts showing. They might be under the buds though...

I will keep you guys updated on if they seed or not so we can use it to further our knowledge of hermies.

Lets work together guys, this isn't the politics forum lol.
