First ever grow ever and using Ebb n flow oxygen cube reciruclating system

OP I would suggest going 100% clay pellets in those Air Cubes. It's a nice system, but it's best used as a true flood-n-drain/ebb-and-flow setup. You can also use perlite, but it'd be a tad messy. Peat moss, coco, vermiculite... all those things won't dry out quick enough to tax advantage of flood-n-drain. I'm no expert, but I think you want to be flooding those like 4 times a day, so that they dry out so the roots get a lot of oxygen so they can uptake nutes effectively when you flood.

Did you buy the brain bucket for the system so you can control the flood/drain schedule?

I'd also suggest steering away from organics in a setup like this. Too messy, too much cleaning.

I just had them on top for when I top down feed isn't messy, im coco perlite vermiculite combo and ive learned to keep my medium 90 - 100 percent wet even fully saturated this medium holds enough air, I found that really interesting,

I actually had to modify my system going into 10g fabrics I bought 10g buckets and I def see what you mean with messy some of the perlite like to play Michael Phelps I actually am doing high fertigation frequent feeding, these ladies are fed every 3 - 4 hours with 1100 ppm they are drinking like hogs and growing crazy pistles daily it's a really fun process to learn.

the original 5g buckets to the system and controller i had to modify a little bit i took a 17g trash can id only used for breaking up coco bricks and it was actualy same size as my controller just way bigger i sim lly cut holes inserted tube and ill just manually flip the switches for now too feed but ecentuslly ill get it all converted from the controller to the GC its all easy stuff i was just gappy i got it to work again in the new 10gs hand feeding every 4 hours 1.5g each lady to make sure all 10g for complete soaked wasn't fun at all esp at night but I know what light exposer I can have (no brighter than moonlight) when I fed at night but still you almost break your neck and or spill small amounts

I did some good reading that talks about being able to use wc tea at a 25 percent diluted ratio weekly res change.

This run I'm sticking with lotus but the clones are going into said mixture with Southern ag Fungicide.

Even fully 100 percent saturated it can breath if I let my medium dry salt build up is quick I learned that listening to people on here on fact " this is my results on coco and feeding 1x a day" that kinda freaked me out I m new and veg was a big learning experience however mixed with hand feeding I decided 1 2x a day was good I didn't want to over due it in flower, big mistake you can see rust covered leaves here and there took a second to realize I needed to flush with my clearex bc salt build up from less feeding, and they are thirsty af stretching and building thicker luckily I only did that for like 3 days we ate back on track now

Going into the 10g pots I simply placed them inside the 5g pots half way down into 10g pots so I didn't disturb the roots and all had bleach white roots exploding through all sides of the 5g fabrics being my first time I was happy to see all white so they def like the 6x a day fully saturated high ppm high flood of 3 4 hours

Op, you have a hydroponic system. Why not run it hydroponically?
I'm just checking out different theories and if you can combine the best of both worlds organic and hydro why wouldn't you ?

Southern ag fungicide and 25% wc dilution with a weekly res change logicly seems like a amazing idea ebb and flow organic.

I am putting the clones into a 5g bucket I will be flood and draining / collecting run off and recirculating it, if it fails it fails if not pretty flipping cool run this type of a system just imo what's the worst a few free clones die and I learn something ?

BTW blk and other haters I've got my soil scintist I follow "gardening in Canada" in the process of making a new mycorrhizae video based of me asking her questions about foliar spraying benificals like great white and hudroguard, meanwhile you guys continue to golden shower your trailer park grows and plants half the size I'm flowering.

Also I've learned to "brew" Orca and southern ag Fungicide / Hydroguard same way as a tea makes a one time purchase of both products a pinch turns into a pound, but what yall been up 2 with your researching learning growing .... nothing ... really .... next your gonna tell me to crap in my own compost pile right ? Like wannabebudz said "next level"

Ya, I feel you there I'm in the same boat brother, I'm just saying a few clone or 2 into a trial and error what's the worst my man we learn new things every day, I shock most when they here I feed 6x a day let alone 1100 ppm Ro water usually get "I'm surprised your plants are alive" everyone learns new stuff everyday me 2 and usually with first hand experience, however I'm letting this one get a little bigger and I'll flood the 1g pot gonna be neat ebb flow flood drain organic

At 25% with a touch if orca and pinch of southern ag Fungicide brewed into a tea with wormcastings diluted at 25 percent you keep air stones in the resivor it's very very plausible you keep the ratio of good above the bad keep the water aerated you should be absolutkey safe.

I still want and need to do a little research on the topic I book marked it my ladies currently have me pretty busy but this is a avenue that sounds fun to adventure and see if this can work.

Learning to prune and lollipop, looks like next grow I'll have a lot better understanding of colas and branching, I'll def need support for these monster lanky arms, fun stuff ✌
still a whole ither tent to hit like an abusive husband at tax time 20221209_090259.jpg20221209_090246.jpg20221209_090233.jpg
