first grow 4x8 tent 1000watt hps talk to me guys

ok so first off hello been on this site so many times for info..im on my first grow after a lot of research n Colorado passing 64 I have a 4x8 tent set up im running a 1000watt hps quantum digi ballast 6 5 gal rubbermade buckets with one plant each n one 12'' airstone two blue god n two ak cherry lime n two bg kush.tent temps r 84 with the lights on n 74 with lights off humidity is 53. a/c fan no exhaust do to co2 im running working on inline fan n carbon filter nuts r floraduo with calimagic,daimond nectar,liquid koolbloom,floraicous plus,orca ph is 6.0...just got the set up up plants r three days in vegg was thinking bout vegging for two weeks then to bloom but idk talk to me guys!!!thank n love roll it up some much info been here for years....

How do you stop the clay pebbles from falling out growing vertically like that? Just kidding, looks great!!

haha idk first grow but thx im having alil problem tho one of the blue god n bg kush started to just get droopy on me any thoughts?ive flushed i alound more air flow for heat no slime on roots idk bg kush is looking better but blue god is still like i can say dieing nuts are half idk help plz

I'd say your res temps are probably too high if your lows never drop below 74. You want that solution to be under 70 or you will run into more problems. Also you want the res' completely 100% light proof so I use foil tape for this as it will block light and help to keep the res cooler and then I cut a paper plate to cover the hydroton until the leaves get big enough to block the light. Hope this helps.

PLANTS R REVIVING LOL SRRY BOUT SPELLING HIGH SCHOOL DROP OUT LOL BUT OVER ALL THINGS R LOOKING GOOD STAY POSTED GOING FOR THE BIG BOOM... UP DATE THE OTHER FOUR PLANTS R DOING REALLY REALLY GOOD WAS ON A 18/6 LIGHTS ON N OFF BUT WAS GONA SWITCH TO 24/0 JUST KUZ I WANTED TO ONLY VEGG FOR TWO WEEKS. THE TWO SICK PLANTS GETTING BETTER HOPEFULY THEN THE OTHER FOUR SO NICE SO NICE

A single 1000 watt light in a 4x8 tent is a poor lighing choice. 2 or 3 600 watts are much much better as the 1000 watter is good for about a 4x4 area so it will work for one side of the tent unless you maybe added a light mover but still very ineffient. In my 4x8 tents I have tried many set ups and settle on 2 600 watt lights and 1 400 wat light between to get ample light coverage . Your res temsp you want around 65 to 68 degrees max so get the temps down for sure or you can cause disease and root rot.Keep the ph at 5.5 no more then 5.8 very important or plants will suffer. The 100 watter might be a bit much for the plants did you gradually introduce them to it for a few days or just toss them in to the frying pan?

did you figure out the issue with your droopy clone??

ARE YOU HAND WATERING AT ALL RIGHT NOW?? if the roots havnt hit the water line in the buckets yet then the plants are probably drying out


the secon set of pics you posted look like theyre drying out.

room temps are 84. thats probably part of the problem you need to bring the temps down and humidity up if they just came out from rooting then that light is going to cook them. those babies are fragile as clones theyll dry up and die really quick man

SFguy made some great points on that. make sure those roots are hanging down getting water not just a little root make sure they are formed and yes 84 with no co2 at so young is no good try for 78 ish keep good air movment so you see moving leaves from it.

filthy+ i was gona make half a vegg/clone room n half a bloom room...so that would b enough light for blooming..i have two 6 bulb fluorescent fixtures for vegging.. as far as the heat i no its a bit high ive been leaveing the door open n letting fresh air in to lower temps also been running diy co2 idk if that help for high temps but like i said inline tomorrow!!...waiting on inline fan 6''423cfm buying tomorrow!!!!as far as slowly letting them adjust to the light i just threw them in they have been fine just lastnite i opened the door to tent n two of them fryed idk why all others are nice n moist..

sfguy+ ive been watching them there slowly coming back i cut off all bad/dead leafs looks like the leafs are starting to rinse up idk thoughas far as feeding ive been misting them n feeding them by hand bout twice a day..thx for rep+ first grow but im trying lol the roots are starting to show so im happy means they are growing right??there really white n thick for four day old roots...

can you dim your ballast??

that would help you bring the temps down in there a little bro.. thats a must theyre GOING to cook at 84 if you just got the clones they ARE FRAGILE. if the roots arent established they cant feed. DONT cut anymore shit off the either bro!!!! they are not big lush plants that can sacrifice stores of nutrients that are in the leaves... if you give it a tug and it DOESNT COME OFF... then dont fuck with it.!!!!!!!!

what is your hiumidity??BRING it around 70+RH

immediately the clones will stop getting crispy. keep handwatering... they do not need nutrients yet
