That's a USB Microscope. If you google(images) it you will find the exact one used here. He posted a pic on one of these pages that has it in it.... or I could have been dreaming haha

haha dude it's a pretty complicated process... I have an SLR professional camera.. If you take the lens off, flip it around and hold it to the camera in reverse, it acts as a magnifier.. I can get some serious closeups through my backwards lens..
this is where i remember reading it..

Negative GhostRider... the pattern is full!

It is a professional camera(don't think Attic has stated company) an like mr. goodro wilson so humbly remembers about the flip he does to the lens. I am not sure if it it a telephoto or macro lens, I think it may be telephoto. What I want to know is Attic, do you have to physically hold the lens to the body an then manually zoom lens, all the while holding steady.... do you use a tripod to help stable that? I was wondering about that an think there should be some after-market adapter ring to securely attach.

Damn I would love to grow a clone of that Pink Pistol Dream. I think i may just flower my mother Blue Dream an revegg after harvest. She has 14 possible bud sites... from one topping(cloned) an two cutting(cloning). One of the clones has some weird long slightly yellowing tipped stipules.

*edit
guess i should read through till end before i reply... good budz!

Just read all 29 pages, killer grow man. Looks awesome. Just getting my first grow underway here shortly. Seeds should be arriving next week. I think I'm going to take a similar approach.

The camera and lens combo is a Canon Digital Rebel XSI and the 18-55mm kit lens, so yes, you can get the exact same pictures I'm getting here..

However I do have a 430ex II flash (the kind that goes in the hotshoe on top of the camera) which allows me to send light wherever I want, so I just get near a white surface (wall, fridge, door, etc,) shoot the light at that, the light bounces off it and comes back at the plant illuminating my photo..

I don't use a tripod, getting the right area in focus is EXTREMELY tricky... for those preflower shots back on page whatever the hell, to get the preflower in focus probably took me about 25 shots.. I'm trying to focus on something that's .5mm tall and .5mm wide, with no tripod or stability and the area of focus in those image is maybe 1 or 2 MILLIMETERS wide.. it's REALLY thin... lol

Damn that is a sick add-on, Its really helpful. 25 shots to get preflowers. Totally worth it. I roll like you, no tripods or stability on. Just all skills when it comes to taking pics.
.5mm tall and .5mm wide damn, youll get that shot man. Patience is key. Great to hear someone shares a common interests in photography.

OMG! attic this has been an amazing grow! that is an excellent example of LST training! definately inspired me to use this method but i am not sure if it will work as good on autoflowering strains. Any opinions?

Nah it doesn't do so much with auto's I'm pretty sure. Maybe a little, but not much at all...

Oh, and pretty fucking plant OP

LST is tying down branches to get lights to other lower budsites. If you want to LST an autoflower go for it, the more light on more surfaces the better. I just don't think it will have much of a difference on yield, especially since you can't top an auto. Or you could possibly in the first few days if it grows super fast, but I still wouldn't touch an auto for that.

Anyways, attic your plant looks beautiful!
