First grow Journal. Nirvana Super Skunk and Black Jack.

Quick update. Everything looks good so far. Running about .85 EC with bloom ferts and a little grow added in for extra N for now. I wil keep upping the EC until 1.1-1.3 over the next week. I will be using a resivour for each strain so I can tweek each as I go. The super skunk does seem less sensitive and is definitely growing a little faster. I topped the FIMed plants cause I fucked that up Look at the difference between the FIM attempt and the topping on the super skunk.I like topped better. Just bushier and more even so far. Let me know if you have any input or questions.

Note: the super skunk is 5 weeks from seed. Had a rough start in rockwool then transplanted. Black jack is 4 weeks from seed.

I wouldn't worry about the FIM's not working out. Some guys can make it work, just takes some practice. I on the other hand don't have any patience for FIM-ing.

Man, I am really liking the coco so far. We'll see how it goes the next couple of weeks. Hoping I won't have any cal or mag deficiencies as is common in this shit. Here is one week of growth on these babies. Does this seem like good progress? It looks good to me but I don't really have anything to compare it to. Any input would rule.

And if homebrewer is is checkin in. Here's my brothers brewing setup. He uses the water heater to brew and goes to kegs fom there. Then it gets pumped through piping up to the fridge upstairs. He is a plumber by the way. He makes all his shit with sorghum because we are celiac and can't have wheat or barley. I quit drinking a couple uears ago but his beer is damn good. My room is right on the other side of the wall. Just thought you would get a kick out of this

Yeah, shit. I couldn't be happier. The new room is boomin! Looks like the black jack might eat more mag than the skunk. Keeping my eye on that situation closely. I' m only feeding like 500 ppm and I just got up to that today. Hopefully I can keep it all together till the end!

Day 7 flowering. Everything looks good still. I am up tp 1.2 EC or 600 ppm as of today. They seem to be taking it fine. The stalks on these are huge. Roots are coming right through the bags on the bottom 1/3 and air pruning. Looks like the root system is huge too I fired up my second 1k today. Temps were getting into the 90's so I implemented my exhaust setup through a carbon filter. My controller cuts co2 when ehausting. This is also helping keep humidity below 50%. Tomorrow is the first full day with 2k in the room so we'll see. I just need a bigger footprint as these guys are growing like a motherfucker. I will probably just do weekly updates from here out unless I get in trouble.

Yeah, so far so good! I did see a little clawing and tip burn yesterday. I backed down to 450 ppm for now. Thanks for everyone's support and help!

Here's a couple pics. My camera battery died so I will put more up Friday. I am running about.8 EC again and may go a tad higher but at 1.2 they responded pretty quickly with a few burnt tips on 1 ss and 1 bj. Other than that things are just chugging along. The growth has been crazy with this setup. I have been feeding for 2 minutes twice a day during light hours and they seem to like it so far.

I've got some questions about your grow johny

I was reading through your journal and I probably over looked it but how long did you veg?

When using coco can you re use it?

You're only doing 7? plants under 2x1000w lights?

You begged in the same place you plan to flower (i think) If someone were to have two separate rooms how hard is it to move your setup from one place to another?

Oh and what kinda meters do you use? Testing PH daily?

Oh and the bitches are looking fucking fine! I'm off to work, will check back in the morning.

hey grotesque. I only veged for about 10-15 days from the time I had real leaves from seed. These are 36 days from seed on the black jack and 42 from seed on the super skunk. I am doing just the 7. I plan to just start rotating strains in and keeping the 3x6 tray pretty much full. Right now they take 3/4 of it and we're only 10 days into flower. Also, I am getting a feel of the new room and what the best cycles are going to be. I have the option to drop to 600 or 400 or any combo but I cannot deny the power of the 1k! Maybe when it gets hot again. You can reuse coco. Check out asked's coco thread on grasscity. His wife does a deal on there. Coco is definitely my favorite hydro medium so far. I actually have a 2x6 closet for veg with a 600w mh in there (just moved up from 400w). It was my "grow room" until this run. I have a pic in the start of this journal. That said. it would be really easy to move this shit if you already had the environmentals handled in the other room i.e. dehumidifier, co2, any of that stuff. Otherwise it's just some plants in pots. That is a first around here. Usually with dwc and aero those fuckers are captive and stuck in the system until harvest.

Shit, missed the meter question. I just have a Hanna tds/ph/ppm meter. It was like $150. Ouch but worth every penny. I drain to waste so I mix my nutes and just pour em in my res. In the right proportions the ph in RO water is 5.8 with no ph up or down. Haven't used any ph up or down the whole run. The dyna-gro seems to just keep spot on with ph. They are also just 1 part grow and bloom formula's and i add protek and mag pro. Pretty simple compared to everything else I've done.
