as you can tell this is in a shower. 2'6" x 2'6" x 6'6"
1000 watt conversion ballast.
bulb: bt37 agrosun 1000 watt 118500 lumens
exhaust is a 250 cfm 4" inline duct fan connected to the reflector with a couple of computer fans for intake
reservoir 15 gallons with 520 gph pump.
humidifier
oscillating fan
walls are Styrofoam with a Mylar lining

after many adjustments I brought to
temp around 75-85. humidity about 30-35%.
I keep tweaking things such as trays, table, fans.

started with a budget of $250 (yea right) probably could have saved a few $, but figured might as well do it right. beside after I got started I could not stop.

ballast $140
reflector $85
trays,hoses,nutes,timers $80
duct fan $32
humidifier $25
pump $19
total $381
almost done spending money. few more tweaks

any suggestions or comments for improvements are welcome. would not have made it this far without rollitup and all you folks. you pros give a new guy some advice please. pics of plant and history next post.

a friend of mine had this plant in his window in a smoked filled room. I think he feed it beer. I just had to do a intervention to see if I could save it. beside I had the room set up and only a few decent seeds to germ. here are some pics. now hold on to something cause it is scary. damn near abuse. these where taken about jan 25

imho......trash it. considering that this plant has gone through major stress most of its life the odds of this plant being a healthy thriving female are slim to none.

this is the plant above about 5-6 days after i took it from my friend.

i have been giving it rockwool formula one A 5-0-4 and rockwool formula one B 1-5-5. i do not have any idea what i am doing with the nutes. i have just went by what the guy a the hydro store suggested, and whats on the directions.

been hand feeding. i decided to leave the lights on 24/7 for now. i dont know if this is the right thing or not. i ph the water. right now i only

yea I would trash it if I had others going. I figured what's it going to hurt. I will get to the other plants I have going in a min. here are some pic of what that plant looks like today. tell me if you think I should give up, or if maybe I can get a clone or two from it.

come on is it that bad. I tried to take a clone but I think its going to die, by the looks of it. pic next post

I have 5 seeds growing in a tray with a dome. temp is usually about 75-85. humidity at about 65% - 70%.

the bigger one I planted on Jan 25. I have been watering it with r/o water at a ph of 5.5. I used the same nutes as stated before. it was going slow at first. I think I was over watering, or maybe don't need the nutes?

so with the others I germed then planted in rockwool on feb 3. I did not water them like before. I added some rocks in the nets and around the sides. then put this thin table cloth over the dome. I add some H2O r/o ph 5.5 no nutes, to the tray. and sprayed them with 0.15-.05-.03 Dutch master folitech and 0.006-0-0 dm penetrator. this is mixed 1 tsp each to 32oz h2o.

when I came home tonight, they took off. a lot faster then the 1st seeds I used. the first batch 1 out of 4 survived. second 4 out 4. I don't know if it was the dome, cloth over the dome, different feeding method, genetics. what ever I just going to stick with what works.

the last 4 seed received from a friend, he said they were skunk #1. I don't know if that true or not. although he is the guy I get my kind bud from.

any pointers would be [SIZE=-1]appreciated.

these are the seeds at 6 days. can anybody tell me if this looks good for day 6? or should i have more growth?

the bigger one is 14 day old.

just ignore that ugly one. it was my first attempt at taking a clone. i used a powder root hormome. it was cheap, and only thing i could find. i am going to try again with clonex gel.

this is that scrawny plant i almost threw out. what you think? will it produce? i have tryed to take a clone but it did not take. probaly messed it up myself.

i took a cut about 4in long. cut at a bias and dipped in clonex, then to a rockwool, which had been soaked in r/o h20 at about a ph of 5.5 no nutes. placed it in a tray with dome. temp 85. humidity 75-80%
here is a pic.

#1 is the only one left for the bagseed I germed on 1/25. so its 23days.
#2 #3 #4 are from a friend said to be skunk #1. so they are 14days.
do these seem little for there age? how do they look? anybody even reading this thread? I am up to 193 views but no comments.

these are what I am down to. I killed the other 2 and gave up one the cloning till the others are big enough. I set up the drip system. and started nutes. I have decided after talking to hydro-shop guy, and reading riu, to mix the r/o water with tap water/ 1 part to 1 part.

lights: 1000w 24/7 30" away from plants
temp:73-78
humidity 35%-39%
water:
ph: 5.5-6.0
5 gallons 1/2 reverse osmosis 1/2 tap water
rockwool formula 1 A 5 tsp 5-0-4
rockwool formula 1 B 5 tsp 1-5-5
northern lights bloom enhancer 1/2 tsp
watering twice a day. about 5min enough to wet with run off.

the hydro-guy suggested the bloom enhancer after I described my plants to him. he said sounds like I have major ph swing and need a little fertilizer.

anybody have any tip? seems like mine are growing much slower than others I have seen in the journals. also I can ph the water to 5.5 then test the run off and its 6-6.5. is this normal? do I need to flush the plants or what?

did a little tweaking.moved everything to the floor. cut holes into top of reservoir for net pots. air pump and two air strip added to reservoir. water line 1 inch or so away from bottom of net pots. lots of splashing and bubbles. bottom of pots are somewhat wet. is this ok?

use same nutes and water as before. stopped watering so often, about once a day now. temp 70-85 / hum 35-45% / ph 5.5 - 6.5

pic 5 across is of the bag seed 26 day old.
the others are "said" to be skunk #1. 17 day old.

I spoke to a friend about my problems cloning. he suggested to just put a clipping in a glass of water. he said that's what he used to do. its been in there 3 days looks better than the 2 clipping I did with the clonex and rockwool. time will tell I guess.

can anybody help me out the the coloring why are they so light green. ph is between 5.5 and 6.5. drop method. meter on it way in the mail.

updated pics. any suggestions will be greatly be appreciated.

watering twice a day. for about 5 min. same nutes as before.
5 gallons 1/2 reverse osmosis 1/2 tap water
rockwool formula 1 A 5 tsp 5-0-4
rockwool formula 1 B 5 tsp 1-5-5
northern lights bloom enhancer 1/2 tsp

lights 24/7.
temp 70-78
humidity 40%-55%
ph 5.5-6.5+

seems like there is some growth very few days. one day I come in and seems like nothing. then the next day they seem to go nuts. is this normal? should there be growth everyday? is it due to ph swing? I check ph every day. every day I have to bring down 1-1.5 points. this is with drop method. meter will be here soon. a

anybody have a suggestion on a tds meter? what kind do you guys use?

this is my first grow. I did lots of research here. I know there are many experienced folks here. any pointer for a first timer?

the bigger one of the 4 is bagseed. sprouted 1/25. the other 3 are said to be skunk #1. sprouted 2/6

ok this is that plant I rescued from a friend. ahywireday1.jpg
this is what I looked like 1/25 when I got it.

someone said throw it out. what do you think now.
ahywir.jpghaywire.jpg4+1.jpg

I have tied it down to spread out the branches. cant see the wire. the fan leaves are so much smaller than the other plants. guess that's due to the stress. I have tried to clone this plant but it does not take. I have never cloned before so I may just be me.

its in soil and the ph reading from that probe you see is way above 7.0. I ph some water flushed it with about 4 gallons. but ph is still high. maybe the probe is wrong. any ideas how to bring the ph down in soil. this plant seem not to grow up. the branches and growth underneath do grow alittle.

You seem to be doing really well...you can move the ph up with baking soda and down with vinegar...Im a soil grower so I cant help you with the hydro part at all. I know you love that plant that you saved but you should really stop f*cking with it...focus on your little guys, the trauma that the rescue plant has went through is surely going to make it a hermie at best. You really should spend sometime reading others grow journals that are similiar to yours...ask them questions in their thread if they allow it and what you will find is that it will wrap back around to you....put the link for your grow journal in your signature then when you ask questions or make comments say hey check me out sometime and give me some feedback...I learn so much just by searching tags and read over and over the diff answers to any given question....It looks like you have put a lot of effort into your grow area....and though you may have done research prior, please trust me when I say it behooves you to be proactive in your learning by reading daily on diff things that people are doing then your answers will always be available..its like mommas and babies....you say theirs is cute and is that a cough that the little tike has and then she says your baby is cute to and is that....feed your community and it feeds you...
