Greeting my fellow growers. This is my first grow and i did some research but I'm still confused and think I'm doing something wrong. I'm growing 6 plants. Planted my seeds 5 days ago, The 12/8/13.
Growing
2 Acapulco Gold
2 G13 haze (1 Dead)
2 LSD
Using a seed started. Planted them and they started to come out 3 Days later. When they came out i added a 65W light source plus i added Balanced pH water at 6 third day and yesterday to keep the cubes moist( don't know if i should waited a couple of more days but the leaf were white/yellow when i added the light source they turned green so i'm guessing it was a positive thing). Thinking about making the transplant when the leaf grow more ( see pic). now the problem and question are, the G13 I've left bended and it looks broken don't know how to go about this. Should i just put a lil support system and let it keep growing like it is now or is it even going to keep growing? Both Acapulco gold looked fine but I'm a lil concerned since the small leafs are turning a lil brownish and i know that's not a good thing. How do i avoid that? add more light maybe since you don't feed the youngsters the first 2 weeks? and the leaf looks stuck to each other unlike the LSD which is coming along beautifully. When should i make the transplant to the 5 Gallon. should i had left the seeds in completely darkness for a whole week straight or i pulled out the gun too fast by adding the light source after 3 days just cause the leafs started to show. Plus one of my Acapulco have a Lil crack between leafs. do i need to worry about that? Got my seeds from a very reliable source and they been around for a long time.

My set up is 600w
465 C Exhaust fan (controller to control temp)
135 C Intake Fan
Superroots Air-Pot 5 Gallon
6" Cooltube XL Reflector w/ add-on 29" x 26"
Growing space 6'5, 5'0, 3'0
Indoor Air Quality Meter - Co2, Temperature & relative Humidity
Small Wall Fan for air Circulation
Portable humidifier to Control humidifier inside Grow Space

Since its my first grow I'm testing to see what works best for me.

2 Pots fill with 80% Miracle Grow and 20% Perlite and HydroStone Expanded Clay Pellets at the bottom for draigane.
3 Pot fill with 60% Canna Coir 20% Organic Black Worm Casting, 20% Perlite since Coco doesnt hold much water and have to be watered daily and HydroStone Expanded Clay Pellets for drainage.
For Nutes i'm using Sensi coco Bloom Part A and B. Know not to feed the pots which contain MG since already comes with Nutes. Might feed after the 8 weeks but its not coco so i Dont know how my Plants will react .

Still working on the feeding schedule. i was thinking for coco, water one day and water+nute the next.

How close? 3 inches away from leaf will be fine? its a 65w so i think it wont burn the leafs right?

It depends on the type of bulb. If flourescent it will not put off heat and can be placed less than an inch from top. If incandescent and producing heat, you need to keep it far enough away that it does not burn.

I can't see the brown but until the leafs open up they cannot begin greening. I would guess that your spindly little stemmed girl in the middle will be a goner soon. But keep them all propped up until the stems can strengthen.

are they in like rootriots or something? if so, i'd gently take them out of whatever that white thing is, and bury them up to just under their seed leaves, in their respective pots, as soon as possible and definitely move your cfl light closer as stated above. i'm a noob, and this is just my opinion. good luck!!

First off, seedlings should be in a humidity dome to keep moisture in. Since yours arent, youll have to spray them. Dont water, just spray. Support for the stalks is not needed as u should bury them up to the first set of leafs once u transplant. As for the brown, i see a little bit of it, and i think moving the light closer will help that, with some time. If it doesnt, then just check on the new growth after it. It may start off a little slow but itll grow.

Hydroponics for someone just starting out is not a good idea.
It's very tricky to grow hydro.
Everything has to be just right, nutes and everything, water conditions, etc.
Why did you go hydro?
I use to grow in hydro, nothing but a pain in the ass.
All I kind say to you is good luck, you're going to need it.
I can tell that you're struggling with it already by the way your plants are reacting.
You may lose your grow if you don't get some help right away.
Wrong choice of grow medium for a noob.
Soil is way simpler and all you have to do is feed and water them.
Also in soil if there's a problem with your plants it's alot easier to correct it when you grow in soil.
All I can tell you is read the hydro threads and ask questins in the threads and hopefully you'll find people that can help you.
Peace

Growing in hydro to get a better harvest is a myth.
I have grown in both and I find that my soil grows have a bigger yield and it is more potent as well.

I use miracle grow seed and cutting mix and start my seeds right in the soil.
Never had a problem with the seeds germing and they are healthy.
Then when they get some good growth on them I replant them into smart pots.
I don't put them on nutes until coleydon leaves start turning yellow.
Peace
whats your soil medium compost off?

first they were very healthy greenish just like my first pictures. i added water and put them on a 600w light running at 50% 1 foot away from light. wake up the next morning and they all pale whitesh... then i transplanted them to the bigger pot 2 days ago thinking they will get their color back and nothing, they been the same size since then. today i checked their roots and they haven't expanded.
