In the middle of week 6 now. Did a light stripping today to get some big fan leaves out of the way. I was told by the breeder everything in the tent should finish 7-8 weeks. I will start to check after week 7. Definitely got some big chunkers for bud.

I'll be starting my next round sometime next week. I'll start another grow journal for that.

Week 8 now. Probably chop them later this week or next weekend. Starting to get more cloudy trichs. I'm looking for mostly cloudy with some little amber. Most of yhe tent will be done around the same time. I ha e 2 or 3 that will be chopped probably a week early, but I need to chop them all at once, and most of the tent will be perfect when I do. See bud porn.

I am 95% sure they will be chopped this Saturday. That's 60 days. Trichs are mostly cloudy with little bit of amber. I am looking for more of a head high rather than a couch lock high, so I will harvest before too the trichs turn amber. The hot mints and orange chameleon could probably go another week or 2, but the rest of the tent is where I want it. Pics to follow this weekend.

i grow under that light and my buds were mostly cloudy w/ a few ambers almost a month ago. They were still spitting out white hairs, so I let them grow. For 3 weeks the amber trichs never really increased and things stayed mostly cloudy. What did happen was the buds really packed on the weight and heft. Huge swollen calyces heaving out thick white strands. I didn’t think they would ever turn color, but they did. And only in the last couple of days did the amber trichs start to show up. I’m seeing a few more each day and I’d like about 25% amber myself….which will likely take another 5-6 days at the current rate. But it was crazy to see how much mass the buds gained and how rock hard they became over those last 2-3 weeks.
I guess the point I’m trying to make is, as long as the plant is spitting out new white pistils (or stigmas) your buds are still adding weight. If your plants act like mine, they may not start really ambering up until they’re finished ripening.
But you’ve got some nice buds regardless of when you harvest…..and the light is a good one. I love mine.

Thanks for the the kind words Bullmark. I love the light, first time growing so I have nothing to gage it against, but I'm glad I went with it for my first light. She's a keeper.

As far as the white hairs and everything, my buddy told me the same thing minus the trichs staying cloudy for a while. He said wait until white hairs come through again and really pack it on. I am curious, when you first checked and saw little amber, how many days into flower were you?

I might end up waiting another week, it depends. If I chop them now I'd have zero remorse about cutting them "early". I'm into week 9 at this point and the breeder told me 7 to 8 weeks. But I'm still learning...

Oh my goodness you don’t wanna know how long my plants have been flowering…..forever and a day basically.
I’m in week 18 and they’re autos…..they showed pre flowers around day 30 and it was on after that.
Not totally sure why they’ve taken so long….my temps were low 70s and I know they do prefer 80-82ish. I defoliated heavily deep into flower and that caused some stress. But basically they started forming these big fat calyces around week 12/13 and there were maybe 2-3% amber trichs at that point, a few clears and mostly milky. Over the next 3 weeks they slowly, really slowly, began turning those white hairs orange and receding.
One plant has been fully ripe in my eyes for about a week and just a few days ago I began seeing more ambers. The other two plants are still turning those hairs orange. They are about a week behind the first one as far as progress.
It might have 10% ambers right now and still a few clears.
I plucked a couple buds yesterday to give my drying room and test…..but will likely chop the whole plant in another week or so.
Yours may move along quicker but I bet they’ve got some more gas in their tank. 6D7ABFDC-870E-401A-BD8E-433F191FE007.jpeg76AAA334-B237-462E-BE2E-837575F71C6C.jpeg

Chopped them this morning for a total of 60 days in flower. They got a quick clean up of the big fan leaves with stems. Left everything else. Cleaned out the tent as well. I left a small oscillating fan on the floor pointing downwards to keep air moving inside the tent. I have the exhaust fan on low to keep temp and rh in check. Looking at 62f and 56rh a few hours after closing the tent.

It's been a while, so might as well bring this to a close. I will post some better nug shots in a few days when the trimming is done.

As previously stated I chopped them down the 20th of February. I cut the big fan leaves off and hung them whole plant in the tent. I kept the tent between 50 and 60 rh and the temp was a constant 61f. I did have some spikes into the mid 60s a couple times and some drops into the mid 40s twice. They stayed in the tent hanging for 2 weeks.

On day 10 I did a taste test. Still too green and still pretty bendy stems.
By day 12 the taste was coming in nicely but still a little green. Also still bendy

On day 14, yesterday, I put them into tubs and into the other room. Still not ready for trim, a few days in the tubs and they will mint. I wanted to get the next round in the tent as the closet was running out of space.

More pics to come later this week.
