First indoor grow. Should I start flowering.

Good evening lads n ladies.

As this is my first indoor grow I'm learning alot as I go and this forum has helped greatly at times so I turn here again for some answers and tips. My girl is nearly ending week 7 of veg,2 weeks under cfl's and the rest under 600w hps and she currently is standing at 18 inches and very bushy. Can I do the switch now or should I wait until she gains another 6 or so inches or does she look ok now. All comments appreciated but the good ones earn good karma ;-)

How tall is your space? Looks to have a lot of sativa, can get up to 3x current height after you flip. I would consider either some training now or flipping if you have less than 6ft. total height.
 
I have to agree with hbbum. Change over to flowering or train her now, although in my opinion it might be a bit to late to train her unless you will be flowering with trellising..
 
You could easily top/fim and let her recovera week or 2 then flip. Probably what I would do. But I like lots of tops

Cheers hbbum ( and Japes) I was considering top/fim but just get second thoughts wether to do it or not as I have never done before just mainly outdoor Xmas tree grows :) and didn't wana fk her up. That said I have seen some amazing pics of plants with the above said done and that still is driving me to do it but the last 2 times I went to I talked myself out of it. Is it as easy as some of the vids I've seen on utube or is there a 100% correct proper way to do it? .The plant is a 50/50 strain and is currently in a 1.2x1.2x2 tent. The owner I got seeds off had it growing outdoors here in Australia for 5 months from seed where it got to 8ft high and 6ft wide ( producing 4pounds dry ) so I have a idea of size she will get to if allowed.

lol and I can almost hear her cry now.
I realised Its just making a fine incision and a cut but to me it's a fine line between doing a fim right and just simply turning it into a topping which I would of already done. Am I right to say that to do a fim correct u pinch the top part coming off and take say 70-80% off ?. If so i will do tmrw and post pic up afterwards.

You'll find out in a couple of days. If you get four then you did it right, if you get two you did it wrong..Either way you;'' have more than before

Yup, worse case scenario is you get 2x the tops you had before.
 
Thanks people and as stated time will tell and at least if I done the fim wrong I've learnt also how to do it right for my next girl who is 8inch tall. Over the next ten days to two weeks if I can see it's was done right my next lil one will be gettin a trim,oops sorry a fim :) lol.
 
that bitch is ready to be topped or fimmed. should've BEEN on top of that pimpin. looks good as fucc minus that fact
 
Ok so it's been 4 days since my first fim attempt and here is what she looks like. I can see 4 sets of extra growth maybe 6,but 4 for sure. What do you guys reckon?.
