I've had twisted half leaves before that early when my coco was pre-charged too string with nutes. Could be something to concider. The next set is probably going to be normal.
The only thing I'm thinking was that I packed the soil a little too much. I may never know haha. Still curious to how this will play out.

You're not feeding her thalidomide are you Jman? That's one weird 20 day old plant.
I'm interested how this turns out.

I haven’t fed her anything at all yet. She’s in a peat/ non nutrient soil right now but I transplanted to ffof recently but added more of the peat stuff around the transplant area so it’s not directly into the fox soil just yet. I’m very interested as well and glad it’s looking semi normal now. Just a minor setback

It's not so bad once you get past those 1st 2 nodes looking bad. It's already growing the 4th node and by days 18 to 21 i usually have 4 and sometimes just barley the 5th, so growth wise it's trucking nicely.

Add more soil around stalk to support it. If you have a mix like FFOF , top dress and water in at 6.5.

It will allow plant to feed AND acclimate to it. Those affected leaves are early sets ( so they will become useless on their own time ).
She's moving forward , so that’s a plus. Autos are Always overthought , give them basic needs and let them do their thing. A complete “ bagged “ soil is enough to run an auto “ full term “ with staged top feeding throughout grow.

I posted a thread on this ( check sig ) .

Good luck.

That's exactly how I did my last plant. It worked out great. Top dressed and only used a little organic dry flowering nutes towards the end. With this plant I actually transplanted it at an angle. I saw some videos of people doing that because I figured I'm going to bend it that way when I start LST. Thank you for the tip. I'll add some more soil under it for extra support just in case.

I must be missing something here, and I’m not an auto flower pro by any means, but those look very tiny for 20 days, and they supposedly start flowering at 28? Won’t these hardly yield anything?

I agree. Something is definitely different with this seed. Hopefully it's just a late bloomer and grows to be full sized. My last seed from this same strain didn't turn out to be an auto at all. I had to switch to 12/12 after it not flowering after over 2 months.

As a comparison here are 4 white widow autos I’m trying that are day 21 today. I LST’d them yesterday.

They look great. My fingers are crossed. Hopefully she grows at a normal pace from here and doesn't start flowering next week haha

I'm not sure why Turbo assumed that it was supposed to start flowering by 28 days, but some bigger strains can veg for 6 to 7 weeks before they start to autoflower. Some are fast flowering so it depends on the strain you got. For example a strain that says 40 to 60 cm would be a shorter strain that should flower faster. 60 to 90 cm is medium and when you see a strain that says 120 cm and up it should be a longer veg phase. Also, just the fact that the 1st/2nd sets of leaves were goofy looking could make the plant slow down a bit and add extra time before it flowers.

That’s my ignorance with growing autos. I’m definitely no pro. That makes sense. I was gifted my four and haven’t grown them before, so I’ve been reading, and I keep seeing 4 weeks as a benchmark for starting flower. Mine started showing pistils at day 18. Hopefully they’ll keep vegging for him.

I'm obviously not sure what breeder he has, but it seems it is Critical x Big Bud(2 heavy yeilders usually). Here is a quick google on the strain but not sure who the breeder was. Most pages showed Choice Seeds version.Screenshot_20200909-103108.png
