Hello RIU I plan on ordering a few different strains soon for my first time. I plan on going through Sea of Seeds - 2 of the strains I know I will be getting are Barney's farm 8 ball kush, and vanilla kush. I was also debating on a landrace strain. If anybody has any suggestions(preferably under $50) of strains you have tried/liked or that have worked very well for you I would very much appreciate it

Thank you - Ryan

Re-evaluate the Barney's Farm seeds. There has been nothing but negative feedback with a lot of their strains recently. If you are looking for some good kush strains, ask some of the more experienced growers on here about their grows.

I got the suggestion from a club I went to, I asked what kind of stuff nobody has around here. I guess that is why they do not have it. So what would you guys recommend?

Bodhi seeds, DNA, Reserva Privada, Dinafem, mr.Nice, Rare Dankness, Gage Green, Sannies gear = are a few of the top notch seedmakers..
totaly agree about Barneys farm, re-evaluate.

steer clear of Cannaventure (they don't run test runs on all their drops) TGA and CV both have hermie problems also. Old School companies are always safe (Sensi Seeds, Serious Seeds, Soma, Sagamatha and Paradise)... White Label has some good priced landraces, also Gage Green I think just dropped a land race Columbian Gold.

What kind of herb do you like, any strains that you've fell in love with... my strain suggestions would vary on your likes.

You don't hear too much about them, but Emerald Triangle has some very nice gear. Fairly reasonably priced too.

I will give credit where credit is due. I got a Barney's Blue Cheese freebie from Attitude a few years back and it turned out pretty damn good.

Just so everybody knows the Barney's Farm was a suggestion from a local MMJ club owner who said they are 2 strains nobody in my area has, which was a good reason for me to look into them. Now hearing about barneys farm being bad I will have to re-evaluate things, As for a cheap/good growing outdoor strain what is your guys top 5 strains that you would buy? and maybe add the breeder names in as well :)

If you like big bud, check out Critical Mass from Mr Nice Seeds... huge yield amazing smell and taste. No one really seems to be growing much Sensi Seeds gear round my neck of the woods (of course Jack herer is grown out all over). Sin City has some really nice looking crosses also. Conissour Genetics just released some awesome crosses but their new so not a lot of info on them.. Strawberrys n Creme and Granddady White look great though.

First 4 are ET Lost Coast OG. Last 4 are Grapefruit Krush.

Lost Coast was a 7' monster. Think I pulled close to 1/2lb from that one. Grapefruit Coast was much smaller but the smell is insane. Had some damage by some deer or something early on. Knocked most of my side branches off, so all I was basically left with was the top 1/3 or so. Glad it wasn't a complete lost. Some of the nicest stuff I've grown.

so you suggest critical mass? I will look up a few grow journals. I am going to start out with maybe 3 or 4 different strains and get more my next order. As a first time buyer you would suggest critical mass - and strawberrys n creme? that sounds good. I will look into prices right now.

Looks good - Fortunately I have a VERY good climate for marijuana growing, unfortunately that means a lot of people come to my area to do so. What breeder did you get your strains from?

I've heard nothing but good things about barney's farm blue cheese and I've heard good and bad about their lsd and pineapple chunk.

if you really want critical mass I would go to the mr. nice auction theres a link on mrnice.nl the strain costs around $100 at the seed banks but I got mine for about $60 with delivery and 20 in the pack. I got mine in veg and there all looking nice but I can't say much till they flower. its a reworked big bud so they have the same parents.

Yeah once I saw the price on them I changed my mind on that. I can get some Big Bud clones - but I wanted something I cant find around here. Everybody has troubles finding GSC but on CL there are GSC clones EVERY DAY in my area.

Bringing in new genetics is just a few mouse clicks away with ordering seeds online from Europe. I can understand what it is like going to a site like Attitude or Sea of Seeds with the amount of strains and breeders out today. Even just it the past few years it seems like these new breeders are popping up everywhere.
