Bringing in new genetics is just a few mouse clicks away with ordering seeds online from Europe. I can understand what it is like going to a site like Attitude or Sea of Seeds with the amount of strains and breeders out today. Even just it the past few years it seems like these new breeders are popping up everywhere.
I do not mind dealing with a slightly unstable strain as I would be fine with picking out the good genetics if I got them - What strains, knowing that growing is common in an area like mine and I can go out and find about 40 different strains of clones. What are some new, obscure strains, or not so well known breeders that don't have a horrid reputation that you would feel comfortable with? I want something that none/very few in my whole generalized area(about 4 or 5 counties) has

Well like I mentioned earlier in the thread, I grew a few plants from Emerald Triangle Seed Company and they were top notch. I wouldn't say they are obscure, but you don't see people growing their stuff out every day like you do DNA, Barney's Farm, Greenhouse, etc.

Some uncommon breeders I've had more than average success with in the past are Kannabia, Magus Genetics (now part of Serious Seeds), Ceres Seeds, and Homegrown Fantaseeds.

Ok thank you, I was looking at the ET stuff but a lot is sold out where I was looking - I will look into the other, more obscure breeders as well. Thank you.

Well not many of the top shelf breeders have stuff under $50. But if your willing to spend a little more anything from Cali Connection ,Rare Dankness ,THSeeds,Karma, Soma,DNA are all breeders that I have grown there gear and had great results.

I never grew anything by those guys except Reserva Privada if you want to count that as DNA. I know TH Seeds and Soma are pretty old school. I've been hearing a lot of problems with hermies with Cali Connection fems lately.

everyone mentions sannies and i've ALWAYS seen happy campers with their gear, so i can't wait to try their jack f7 to see how it compares to the best strains i've tried so far. their jack and sensi seeds' $225 jack herer are supposed to be 2 of the best in the world only sannies' version is just $50. if it had a nicer name, i know i'd like their killing fields.

TGA gets similar love from growers and i totally dig their jack's cleaner 2. it's my favorite strain so far. it's a little bit stonier than i like, but still functional with an awesome warm and fuzzy bear hug euphoric stone with a twist of touchy feely that's a really cool effect like disgusting truck stop tarmac tasting diesel (why? why? why?) based onyx which had me playing footsie with myself. i ended up giving myself an arms and chest massage on JC2 and laughed my ass off when i noticed i was imagining invisible waves of tie dye color rippling out wherever i touched. oh yeah! it does visuals! their equally evil named jack the ripper is a strain i'd love to smoke but won't violate my own personal moral code to buy (deal with it satanic fucks) but want to try third dimension next.

i'm TOTALLY biased towards getting high and have never liked getting stoned one bit the first minute i experienced that shit just so you know where i'm coming from. my 3 other favorite strains, so far, are way fruitier and trippier than the other more generic hazes i've tested DNA sweet haze, extra potent & motivational euphoric with a twist of trippy $28 x 11 high quality seeds' haze x skunk which is THE most potent high i think i've ever experienced and long lasting too with mild psychoactivity and perfectly energy neutral mandala 8 miles high which is similar to generic hazes, but with enough psychoactivity that you notice precise body control under all of that fun playful euphoria. it's not as much a sledge hammer strain as a totally perfect 24/7 mellow bliss prefect for whatever fun you want to get into from vedging to a movie to running a marathon., i thought the buzz was really classy & understated myself.

DNA is a favorite breeder only because i've tried 3 of their strains, counting freebies, and all 3 were clearly above average. sweet haze kicks a lot of lesser generic haze, jack and thai ass by being trippier, fruitier and stickier albeit stretcher too. their lemon skunk takes a dump on skunk #1 by being as euphoric if not moreso with much less couchlock, a better lemongrass flavor and a kind of golden glow with it's gold pistils that suits it's lemon flavor for another top to bottom quality strain. their stonier sour cream smokes a lot like skunk #1 and blueberry, read euphoric and stony, but holy crap is that shit ever delicious! it reminded me of cream cheese with hints of fruit... one of my top 5 flavors easily. all three strains had total quality that beat ALL of the shit i've wasted money on in 25+ years. i imagine the LA confidential freebies everyone tried to talk me into growing would have been nice too, but i refuse to grow stinky and ave 'em away. i don't like stony either so it was not interesting to me.

if you grow a stoner strain, ANY of these strains i've tried so far would be a nice contrast and above average. i'm always looking for better and am a bit of a pot snob, though not so much i'll only smoke 15 week + low yield IBLs though i'd never turn one down. i only care about getting high and quality, so i don't make notes on yield so much. i'm just a simple head stash grower sharing his personal experience... nothing more.

My experience with ET was good, it was one of the first seeds I ordered online, fairly stable, good yield and over all nice genetics. However after growing out some TGA and RP gear, I would have to say they are lacking on there resin profile and a bit of vigor. Kandy Kush from RP is great if you don't mind some stretch and 9-10 weeks flower time, Kandy will really reward you for your time. Nice large colas of Trainwreck /OG smelling buds with tons of side branching and a HUGE yield. For a shorter plant I would say Ace of Spades by TGA, my favorite pheno smells like Baja Blast, turn magenta, solid yield and is overly encrusted in resin like most of the TGA catalog.

I'm on my second run with Mr. Nice gear, and am not disappointed one bit.

First run was also my first indoor grow in many years, also my first not using bag-seed. I picked Medicine Man (White Rhino) 8 plants gave me 5 females, and they were pretty great! Two distinct phenos, both were excellent. An unusual "very kind" taste, and normally very clear-headed high. I'll re-run this again in the future, and I wish I had kept clones, but I'm thinking there is something even better in the vial ;) The little bit that got loose on the town was well received.

The current run is a mix of indica x skunk Shit and sativa Super Silver Haze, plus an Attitude UFO G13 Labs Raw Diesel. Looking at three Shit gals for sure, a fourth Shit just went into the bloom room, and four SSH are yet unknown sex at F day 8. Vegging right behind these are three more SSHs and three more Shits. I am hunting for one standout indica and one (or three lol) standout sativas to mess around with.

A few more from Mr Nice I "need" to run: Mango Haze, Pink Floyd (Critical Mass aka Big Bud x Haze AC), Angel Breath (Mango Hz x Afghan Hz) Spice (Hawaiian ind x Hawaiian sat), and Black Widow (Brazil Sativa hyb) So I'll let y'all know how that goes in about 5 years.

With all these, one may have to grow through a run or three to find their special one, and then learn what that particular one likes to keep her happy. Another thing I can say about MNS gear, is that given normal care, the plants are VIGOROUS. No mutant, can't seem to want to get going bullshit here. Solid time-tested genetics.

That's just my newbie grower e-pinion though...

So Lemon Skunk, Sweet Haze, Sour Cream? I am looking for flavor and a good high as opposed to pass out(not much makes me pass out except edibles and I'm not going to turn anything down and I would love to grow every strain available:P)

I am doing outdoor and my weather really forces me to pull around late September - I would not mind growing Kandy Kush but is that not one of the more expensive ones? It sounds very good. I will look up a grow journal of it. I will look up AOS as well. I want to get experience with all different kinds of plants/breeders.

I got the Kandy as a freebie off Attitude when I ordered a few TGA seeds. I was very surprised it kept up with the TGA at first but it has really done well, the colas it's producing are huge for a plant flowered at 12" tall, she is well over 3 ' now. The Kandy is by far has a better yield but my keeper aos is amazing, I love the smell and it is absolutely covered in trichomes. The sugar trim is just as covered and is the best I have personally grown of over 10 strains from various breeders. I used my Cheesequake and 3D male to pollinate all my ace of spades and the kandy so I will have some interesting crosses to try here soon. TGA has some great genetics in general, check out subs info site and see what fits you best, Sub gives some of the better descriptions and more information about his strain than anyone else around so that really helps get a good idea what you are really buying. I went with AoS for the Black Cherry Soda taste and good yield and I have been 100% happy with my decision but will be adding more TGA to the collection soon. For a first order I would agree with you tho, grab a few different breeders and see what you like, the Kandy has really impressed me now too so thumbs up to RP too. I can believe it took me over 2 years of growing and even watching Sub on his youtube show to order some of his beans, I wish I would have done it much sooner. I will try and get some photos here soon.

I was reading one of subcools threads about giving out beans to different growers and having them grow them out and I really liked the strain and how it grew for people, I do really like subcool just in the fact that he tests that way with RIU users. I would like to meet him and smoke a bowl to talk about some of his strains, Figure out what he recomends for my enviro

*stoned visions of success* meh probably wont happen but big dreams huh?

I love sannies gear, so Jackberry and Sugar Punch are my 2 favs.

I know people hate ghs, but their Super Lemon Haze,S.L.H., is always good.Even the leaves smell good and stink like crazy.

If you had these 3 strains in your room it would smell wonderful and they all make some nice pretty buds.
