First Time Grow Room Questions

So, i am taking the plunge into the growing realm very soon. I'm looking at having a dedicated 150 square feet for grow space and i'm thinking 10-12 plants in a circulating DWC setup. This will be in a finished shed (insulated, drywall, etc.), but it won't be hooked up to heat. I'm new to this, so i have quite a few questions i would really appreciate some experienced growers wisdom.

I'm trying to figure out what i need for lighting and i'm leaning toward using 2x 1000w lights to grow and 1 T5 fluorescent for the clones/starts. My questions regarding this:

- Will this be too hot in that small of a space? (I will be venting it, but that's something else i have questions about)
- Would i be better off using 3x 600w lights for growing instead?
- Would it make any difference if I use a MH set of lights for the first 4 weeks of veg, then switch to HPS for flowering?
- Would a good set of T5 fluorescents be sufficient for vegetative growth?

As for the grow space itself, i was thinking of only using a small tent for the clones/starts, but leaving everything else out in the open. If the room is sealed and dedicated to growing, is there any reason i would need a large tent for the flowering plants?

As for venting a room like this, I'm wondering how i would need to do that.

- How big/powerful of exhaust fan will i need?
- In the vent line, will i need a booster fan to keep those kinds of lights properly vented?
- Where would the booster fan go in the line?
- Do i need a fan blowing outside air into the room?
- Is there a way to set the fans to work off a thermostat, so they know when to work harder than normal?

I've just finished the framing, so i'm trying to plan on how to set all of this up before a put up sheet-rock and everything. Sorry to be so technical and ask a ton of really specific questions. Thanks in advance to any info or wisdom this forum can pass along!

Get a 6 inch inline fan hook it up to a carbon filter in the room and then have a vent for that leading out side.

Just have regular fans in the room to circulate air

Go with 3 600 for better light distribution and more power distribution options..

Use one MH 600 for veg... Switch to hps during flowering if you ballast is switchable. If not run hps in veg...

If you are doing dwc u need water temps sub 70, so u need a water chiller....

You also need an ac...

ac. you will need ac. you need to control the enviroment. you need ac. have you seen all these posts here about "help, my rooms hot, the heat, its summer and my rooms hot". did i say anything about ac.

I have a room that is double that size and I use 4 - 1000 watt HPS to bud. I have a Can-100 carbon scrubber hooked up to an eight inch fan that exhausts out into the other room. With the room sealed with Panda B&W the exhaust fan creates a negative air pressure in the room so that all smell and air that exits the room has to go through the carbon scrubber. This does two things, takes care of smell and keeps my room cool as air is sucked in from the negative preasure through a passive intake which is cooled by my home central air. So, you could do something like this but for your space use a smaller 6 inch fan and a Can-50 carbon scrubber. The room does not have to be sealed perfectly as long as your fan is strong enough to exhaust more air than is coming through the passive intake and the inevidable leaks in the room. The important thing is negative preassure in the room. Hope this helps, any questions on my set up just ask.
