First Timer, running into problems

Hello, I am a first time grower and Im experiencing very slow and weird growth. Im growing in roots organic soil, using Mars hydro 3000 for my lights on a 18 on 6 off schedule, feeding Gringo rasta lickity split by fox farm. My temps are always between 71-79 degrees and my humidity is always between 55-65%. Im having a hard time because it seems like all my temps/ environment is right on but experiencing slow growth. Seeds are from Crop king seeds so genetics shouldnt be a problem either. Any help from the experts out there will be gladly appreciated. Thanks

Ive used FF trio but this seems to be a new line ... I suggest looking at the feed schedule for that and go from there.
You should be at least running Lickety and sonic together during this time.

Also make sure you are ph mix to 6.5 before adding to medium.

Ok maybe those plants aren't rippin' right now, but I don't see much struggle. My thoughts are, they are definitely not underfed. The idea right now is to be growing roots.
Roots organics original (I assume) is a pretty good feeding soil, on it's own.
I also see training involved. That contributes.


Easy to develop a patience deficiency.

The stems are turning purple. Could be genetics but maybe a magnesium deficiency(maybe caused by PH issues or from growing under LED's). Also the tips and serrations on the leaves are starting to turn a lighter green. You definitely have a problem.

Going to need to give us more info on what you are feeding.

Thank you, someone sees a problem as well. Yes to everything you just said. I seemed to have been having a strong grow spert about 3 weeks ago but then a complete slow down. Im feeding fox farm lickety split only every other watering. Im watering every 3 days about half a cup to each plant. What do you think is my issue? Yes stems are turning red/ purple. New growth is slow and lime green and leaves growing skinny.

Also the edges of the plant are pointy. Its very weird. Not the tip of the plant but the edges are pointy

How far away is your light from the tops of the plants ?

In my in-experienced eyes it could be a few things.
1. The soil you have chosen seems to be pretty high quality. Should be able to grow in it without adding nutrients for at least a month. I don't know how old they are but adding more nutrients at this stage could be causing issues. If this is the issue then I'm not sure what the best option is for fixing it. You could try flushing but I don't know.

2. Growing under LED's requires more Cal-Mag. Calcium and Magnesium do not travel well in the plant and LED's increase the demand for these semi-immobile nutrients. Simply add 1 to 2 mils per gallon of a cal-mag product.

3. There could be enough nutrients but an improper PH is preventing the plant from uptaking them. Are you PH'ing your water?

Without knowing how many ppm's you are watering with or knowing what the run-off water ppm is, will be tough to figure out for me anyways.

Thanks for your input man, its greatly appreciated. Im starting to think that my problem is the #1 you mentioned. Over nutting them. Because I started a fresh batch, with the same soil, same lights but been giving them just water and the new babys seem better til now. See pic I added. And quick question, so with Roots organic original I dont need to nut for about a month? And another question, I seem to spread out my waterings good but I still dont know the correct amount I should be watering. Please help me with this. How much in cups or litters would you be giving to plants this big? Thanks again

I can tell you this. I've grown some pretty hefty plants in 10gal pots with that stuff, with nothing but water and Epsom for weeks, and weeks, and weeks.
Some of that is dependent on strain feeding tendency I suppose.

Thanks for that input. I will keep that in mind. I like to hear that. I rather not use nuts for as long as I can. Thanks

Definitely a deficiency! Google cannabis deficiencies and find a good link for some pictures. I think leafly has a good one. But I always would start with a flush! First signs of craziness and I wash them roots. I was reluctant my first time or two but it’s really your first move here. I would almost say she’s toast but I hope not.

I’m not a soil guy I use coco but surely this isn’t correct?

is it just a case of this guys watering habits?

I think he is growing organic soil, no bottle feed (yet). So he wouldn't want runoff that would rinse out the limited supply of organic nutrients. Still sounds like very little h2o though. He should go by pot weight and don't let organic soil dry as much as bottle fed but it still needs to dry.

I think it's time for some bottle feed from the looks of things. At least some epsom salt.
