Flavouring Your Bud

I was reading about this the other day and was wondering if anybody had tried it. Apparently, an hour or two before harvest, if you add concentrated flavours to water and feed the plant... when you harvest and cure, the buds will taste of whichever essence you used.

Yeah they have final flush in a variety of flavours including pina colada, dont know how they turn out though.

I tryed it one year with vanilla essence and it come out good...bit weird smoking it....but nice... add half hour before you chop the lady works best..

I read that it can take up to an hour to reach the tip of the plant... I suppose it depends on the medium you are using.

i have heard of lots of people trying to feed theyre plants flavours and colours and not many have come out successful. i was wondering if injections would hurt the plant many people "pinch" or damage stems to grow a larger nug on the top of that branch and that doesnt kill the plant. i have been injecting into a plant (100% applejuice) for 2 weeks now with no sign of failure to grow i was wondering if anyone else has tried this before and planning on trying a colouring agent of some sort not sure what yet tho.. any idea's? anyone have some input on this please let me hear what you think.

I've heard of watering your plant with mango juice for outdoor plants.

i've heard that drying your buds in a box of orange/ lemon / bannana peel gives it the flavour of whatever peel you used

Look at lemon juice on the ph scale. Think of that will do the the plant lol.

Edit.. Im an idiot guess it wouldnt matter if you do it right before you harvest.

What would you use as 'concentrated flavors'? or 'essence'??

I can't think of anything tastier than great organic buds. Personally, I think weed tastes fantastic...

But if you can figure out a way to get the taste of a Snickers candy bar in the bud.... LET ME KNOW!!


Edit: P.S. I guess you could add concentrated grape juice to the soil. That might do the trick.

what if, instead of putting the flavour on the plant 30 mins before you harvest it, you did it throughout the entire growing process? like just put some vanilla extract in your water... would that work? has anyone tried it?

I would use some wild food coloring. Inject into plant directly with a syringe. I think it would be insane. Nobody remembers putting dead celery into colored water and watching the celery suck it up to the top and make it drip out in gradeschool?

umm... this is a thread from 2007 and the last post is from 2009. Chances are most of them have died of old age by now.

who'd wanna smoke vanilla essence, really? guy on the first page had the right idea about bud absorbing the flavors of surrounding orange peel/etc, but this other stuffs a lil off

Wow, what was the point in bumping this up? Stupid thread to boot.

First off, it's an urban myth, it doesn't work. Secondly, properly cured buds taste awesome, why would anyone want to mess with that?
