And why would you vote no on medical marijuana? How is the bill "fucked"? It will be on the general election ballot in 2012. I plan on voting YES and I plant to be active in educating voters. I believe the bill still needs to pass, but that shouldn't be a problem, it's simply a propossal to place on the ballot to allow the voters to decide. I can think of two reasons that the bill should pass....

#1. Florida is the retirement capital of the USA. Along with all of those retirees come aches and pains, cancers, diseases, etc. I believe if the amendment is properly proposed, many in the retirement community would vote YES, especially now that the National Cancer Institute has declared cannbinoids as anti-oxidants that work against cancerous tumors. while the NCI has since retracted the statement from it's web site due to Federal pressure, the cat is out of the bag. Many news organizations covred the news release and the subsequent back tracking of the statement. Also, medical journals are beginning tout the benefits of marijuana.

#2. Florida is the pill mill capital of the world. Over 43 million Oxycontin were prescribed to Florida patients in 2010. That is more than the other 49 states combined. Georgia prescribed only 1 million doses of the dangerous narcotic. It should be clear from these numbers alone that Florida needs an alternative to managing pain. However, I suspect big pharma will spend millions on radio and TV ads spouting off about the dangers of marijuana. I plan to shout at the top of my lungs, the dangers of deadly, addictive narcotics that they push on us.

Contact your representative and let them know you want the option on the ballot. Right now, the bill isn't even scheduled for a debate this session. To deny the voters the opportunity to express their desire on this issue would be ultra-conservative and near criminal, especially in a state that sees 7 overdose deaths on prescribed meds every single day.

Damn dude, that bill is fucked. Can we even vote on it ? I called the number and what not but like... No way

I apologize, but I hardly took it out of context. I saw the bill was fucked and No Way... not sure what else I was supposed to think :) I'm glad we are on the same side. I hope we get to vote for it.

I hurt my back in 08 and they have been pushing them on me since. They don't stop the pain for me. They do however make it so I dont care about the pain, but also my family my home my life my health or anyone elses. Plus they make me puke then fall asleep and feel like hell all the time. A pain clinic stop treating me because I refused to become a junky or take their opiate scripts. Advil MMJ and aspirin work better than anything I have tried. Occasionally for spasms I take some flexeril but only before bed because they knock me the fuck out. lol

And prednisone helps with leg pains but I withdrawal and feel like hell for a week after. I guess it is worth it to get rid of that shit.

The only side affect from MMJ is munchies and I won't shut up sometimes. lol

oxy just makes you cope man, it helped with the pain untill i had to take a shit ton just to make my head feel normal. i never once sold, or stole anything to get them. but when the words divorce came out of my wife's mouth, i was done. flushed 218 pills down the toilet... i almost lost everything...kids, wife, house, cars...everything
I got a new doctor, my wife went with me and before i could say it she told him i needed something else...he wanted to take me from 30's to 15's...why so i eat more of them? pshhhh :wall: thanks doc, but just give me some 5mg vicoden and ill smoke my mj, now im lucky enough to manage my pain with exercise and dont need any opiates
