i started flowering a week ago and it didnt show pistols till now. when im keeping track of the days, should i start counting now?

I always have a calender nearby, but I only use it as a rough guideline. The buds will let you know when they are ready

I count from when I flip to 12/12 but up to you mate.

ok well i lied about when i started just to make it easier for people to understand my question.....
so, heres the real story.
im like 35 days or so into flowering and it didnt show pistols till and week and a half into flowering. if i was going by the date when i turned it on flowering, my buds look too small. doesnt make sense based off the videos and pictured ive seen from other growers at this stage. thats why i think i was counting wrong.

I would say u should only count that 20-25 that it had the pistills shown cuz those other days were jus the tranformation time it took.

yeah dude! thats what i was thinking. like how can they be technically flowering if it didnt have any pistols? thats my logic.
