Flushing with molasses in a DWC??

Okay so i think i made a pretty big mistake. My baby is in its 8th week of flowering in a bubbleponic DWC type system. I've been reading up for the past few weeks on the pros and cons of flushing with molasses and it seemed like a good idea. Well, i mixed three tablespoons in a 5 gallon reservoir three days ago, and today i lift the hatch check the ph and look at the main root coming from the net pot and it looks like it is completely coated in a gelatin type gooo. I than realized that no threads actually talked about flushing with molasses in a DWC. So what im asking is whether anyone knows what this "goo" is and if anyone knows how bad this is for my plant??? Ill have pictures up shortly for my camera is dead and i have to charge. Any opinions are greatly appreciated!!!!

flush with ro water only,, rinse those roots off. then you can add some carbo blast. molasses is ok for soil not hydro.
