Fox Farm and Cal-Mag

I am new to growing and I'm planning to use fox farm trio pack and cal-mag. I'm wondering how to mix it all together, how to water with it, and what measurements I should use of each? I'm growing in soil indoors, and I'm planning on moving my sprout to Fox Farm ocean Forrest soil soon.

I agree with @vostok , but I do it a little different.
I use ffof ,ffhf, perilite in equal amounts then add ewc, and d- lime at about 10% and mycos, other amendments like oyster shell meal bat and sea bird shit . I'm always tweeting the recipes depending on what's on my shelf and what I can spend. I have great results and very little feeding of the trio ( which I bout the dirty dozen ) so I like the dry trios for flower.

I see FFOF as a 'hot' soil with ample amendments already added

often doing 2nd and third grows easily with little amending

tho I like ur idea of adding M_Fungi

of which I make my own under my lemon tree ..lol

How do you do that. I use ocean forest?. I transplant up every 2 to 3 weeks in veg to avoid deficiencies and keep plants vigorous.

Then the final pot (3 gallon) needs fertilizer added by week 3 or sooner depending how long the plant was in it still in veg.

I use pure blend pro grow to fertilize.

Then I throw the root ball and used soil in the woods.

Dude, over potting up ..so much !

I potup just 2 times from my 4 inch germers

to a 3 usgal then perhaps a 5 or 7 usgal if required ..lol

imo: cut back ur fertilizer and foilar feed 2-3 times per week

build up ur store of FFOF in the woods, mix well on every visit

and simply give urself a test trial

good luck

Bit too organic for my 2 spare bedroom perpetual grow but thank you. I am happy to see your blog. I will check it out.

And I guess the answer to my question is organic fertilizer. Very cool method.

I will disagree on up potting. It's 16 oz party cups to #1 nursery pot to #3. And into flower. The final pot is 10" and really is only 2.4 gallons of soil.

I have fully developed root balls all the way through the little pot. I just harvested an almost 7 oz plant in one.

Works pretty well for our needs.

Here is my flower room. We harvest about a plant per week from seed or a clone to keep a plant running within our plant allowance.

mostly diesel/ Thai strains and crosses.

I just went and bought a bag of ffof, how long do you think I should wait to move into a bigger pot? My plant is just in this started pot for now.
Little seedling pots are good for about a week at most.

I like to start seeds in a bit deeper cup. I heard early on that the taproot should have about 5 inches minimum before it bottoms out. Seems to work well. I wait 2 weeks to 2.5 and the seedling lifts right out by the stem with the whole cup of soil intact.
