Foxfarm Happy frog or ocean forest ???

I use 70% Ocean Forest 30% Light Warrior both by Fox Farms. I love what I use and would recommend it to anyone.

That being said we are all arguing about small details. I think you would be happy with happy frog or ocean forest compared to any soil out there. I have seen a thread on here where a guy used old soil (from a couple grows back) and tap water only. No nutes, no distilled no nothing. I think sometimes we all forget how easy this plant can grow, but it is so much more fun to make the details difficult and focus on them. Whatever you chose will be better than miracle grow so I say go with your gut and wallet.

ocean forest is an organic non-fertilizer/nut/npk soil, yeah?
There is tons of "fertilizer" in Ocean Forest. Right when you plant into it, if you check the ppm of your runoff water, it is at like 1500ppm. This means there is a lot of food in the soil.
It is organic, but it is a very "stong" soil. It has more nutes in it than most soils, but they are not in the time release capsules which is what causes the problems with pre ferted soils.

It doesn't list it on the bag either. I am not sure what the NPK is, but for freshly planted clones, I don't add nutes to first watering. With seedlings, I can go up to 4weeks without feeding them. With mature, newly transplanted plants, I water at half strength the first watering.

I use OF works great. Only problem is if you transplant outside for a outside grow is that all the little critters will dig up your plants, other then that OF all the way.IMO

Happy Frog is a much lower quality soil, whether you think so or not. It is available at local nurseries, etc., which kind of shows what kind of quality it is. How many awesome products do you find on the shelf at OSH? Not many.
your so full of shit your breath stinks.. STFU.

i bet half the people that are saying Ocean Forest is better than Happy Frog havent even used Happy Frog. Ocean Forest has always burned my plants. Every age.

Now im using a mix of 50% HappyFrog and 40% MiracleGrow seedling starter and 10% Pearlite. I havent had any problems with it and my plants are exploding. I will stick with this mixture for sure. Even gonna use HappyFrog for outdoor.

Just buy half bags of each and see for yourself. You really cant listen to too many people here like this idiot.

happy frog is a starter potting soil, OF is a growing medium. who cares where it's bought? if hf is junk and low quality so is OF as OF is nothing but happy frog with organic nutes added nothing more nothing less:clap:

Im using HappyFrog through out my whole grow and its been great. Light Warrior is a starting soil. And LightWarrior is junk. HappyFrog is where its at.

From seedlings... I threw my Haze Auto straight into FFOF about a week ago and she sprouted 2 days ago. So far I have 100% germ rate with seeds supplied from Attitude (about 12 for 12) using nothing but FFOF and regular tap water

Iv used both, FF ocean forest can go to harvest in 5 gal buckets with little added fertilizer. Happy frog isnt low end, its a softer soil and it has myco fungi in it, FFOF dosnt but I suggest grabbing a bottle.
Pretty sure FFOF has mycro fungi in it

wow OLD THREAD!!but i know this is out of topic but my opinion is add your own ferts and go with some regular potting soil so you can flush if you want.other than that both of them are good just watch the nutes
