I got some wild flowers in a raised bed out front. The neighbors lawn service mowed a patch out of it before they realized it was my flowers:mad:
Needless to say I put a fence up next to it now and the lawn care service is bringing me a new bag of seeds. Gee thanks guys. guess it's the thought that counts wtfe.
Anyway here is a couple pics.....

This place was completely overgrown at the end of last summer when I got this place. Covered in overgrown vines and major roots that took allot of cutting with my sawzall and shoveling allot and tilling. The ground here is also full of clay. I'm still working on filling a 6ft hole from a huge pool that was in need of removal. What a chore. Still pulling rocks out of the ground that went all the around the pool 2 feet out. Had to remove a big section of an old rotted deck to. Still got allot to do to get things done back there but well worth it for the family and the gardens;)
Good luck on yours. Why not just do raised beds and fill with soil? Just curious lol

I have a few raised beds but they're for the strawberries. I'm not sure why I don't just grow my veggies in raised beds.. I guess I just like to do all the work associated with planting in the ground. That and my pumpkins and all the other vining plants get way too big for raised beds.
At my old house our garden was perfect.. soil and all. I believe it was 40' x 80' or a little bigger. We've been here for about 10 years now but I've only had the garden going for about 4-5. I didn't find out that the area had been surfaced mine til after I started tilling up this current garden and saw that it had been back filled. Its much smaller. Its only 30' x 50'. I built a screen out of rabbit fencing and 2x4's and have been screening it for a while. It takes forever but it is definitely worth it. I had a tri-axel load of topsoil dropped off a few months ago and have two huge cold compost piles going.. along with a few hot piles. By next spring it should all be screened and amended with all of the compost I have going. Then it'll be time to put a permanent fence around it to keep out the deer and rabbits. They're relentless around here. They don't really mess with my MJ as much anymore though.
This land is family land but I take care of all of it for my mother. I'm hoping to buy a farm this fall/winter out in the sticks to be able to grow in peace.

Very understandable. Keep up the great work. That's gotta be a pain getting all that out. A farm is what I need. Lol:D

Haha.. yeah I didn't think of that. I wouldn't want those MFers near my plants again either.
Its been raining so much here this spring that I've been having to cut the grass twice a week sometimes. Its mostly field.. about 4 acres of it anyway and it takes about 6-8 hours to cut it all. At least its flat I guess.
I've been looking into get my kids some toys along those lines but I'd have to get two because of the 6 year age difference. I'd like to find my son a little 50cc with remote kill switch and a utility 4-wheeler for my 10 yo daughter. It'd have to be big enough for use to share though. lol. I miss my Rancher.

Thanks. Glad to see you around. I would hope you would maybe sub up & post a few shots, don't have to be cannabis oriented if you don't like. However I & most everyone here do like seeing others work from time to time if you know what I mean? ;) Yeah Ive heard allot about the rocky mountains. I have been trying to figure out a few things where its super rocky here in CO. Im thinking I am just going to go with flood & drain tables. ;)
You all have some nice veggie gardens.. Cannabis gardens as well!
I don't have any pics of my veggie garden yet but its a little embarrassing at this point. Its rocky as hell out here and I've been screening and amending the soil for 2 years now but still haven't got all the sandstone and slate out of it. Honestly, if it weren't for the plants it would look more like a Japanese zen garden. haha.
It doesn't really have any affect on how the plants grow but it sure drives me crazy.

I know someone who has a moped 4 sale. lol title in hand. I think of course (IMO) that would be suitable for children. Of course depending on age. I would say if they know how to ride a bike they could handle a small moped. :)
