Wow, looking good! Can't wait to see this finish.

Are you going to be thinning out the canopy?
I haven’t decided, I have in the past, but recently I read an article that did convince me that any extra defoliation past week 2 can stress the plant just enough to hamper it. That stands to reason, logically in my head, and seeing as this is such a short flower, I dont think it would have the same time to make that loss backup as say my gush mints or deathstar cuts would.

So I noticed last night I’m getting a little N burn on some of the tips, so I dialed back the nutes 10%, and now with all my additives I’m coming in with an ec around 1.5, I have a 4x4 that I will be flipping to flower Sunday/Monday, hopefully we can get a flawless victory on that one.

Week 5 done.IMG_3746.jpegIMG_3744.jpegIMG_3745.jpeg
So this week I had noticed almost immediately, that what I suspect to be N burn on the tips of the leaves was not improving so I reduced base nutrients by 20%, cut back on the fulvic acid by 1/3, that seemed to help.
I noticed that Jacks has put up a new feed schedule, where the old schedule said 1-2 weeks for budset, and then 1-2 weeks for finish, then 4-7 day flush. The new schedule says 1 week budset, 1 week finish. I think I’m still gonna shoot for 2 weeks, I started finishing nutes, seeing as how they are getting more N sensitive, im assuming they are ready. But to meet in the middle as I’m sure the good folks at jacks know their shit, I’m going to do a 30% reduction in concentration for week 2, as last time even with a 4-5 day flush I had some residual in the flower.

I just wanted to not before I forget that I cut the 5x5 tents finishing nutes back from 70% strength to 50% strength, just for 2 waterings tomorrow, then it will be straight water for 7.
The 4x4 I cut to 90% strength on nutes yesterday, and I’m going to cut to 80% tomorrow, next time I’m going to come in day 8 with 80%.

Looking good. What is your flushing procedure ? streight water ? pH’ed? Would you add any Epsom salts for a day or so for sulfer last chance for terps? Or any magic tricks you have ?
RO water should have them fade really well. I’m interested to see how they fade from this dark green.

Thank you! And great questions I have found myself asking, I try to keep the ph close to neutral, although I am of the mind that for a final flush ph isn’t really important, because I don’t want the plants to take in nutrients and PH is the key that unlocks the door for the nutrients to go through…I don’t care if the doors open, I want the nutes out of the waiting room so to speak, so the purpose of the water in my final flush is to remove what’s left, and by this time I’ve already cut my nutes to 50% strength so there isn’t a lot down there for them anyway.
I do not add epsom salts in the flush, last run I had a few sparkles in the bowl, so I hypothesize magnesium residuals are the culprit. I taper my epsom salt in ratio with my base nutes, 20% reduction in nutes = 20% reduction in epsom salts, I figure that the residuals in the media for the first 24 hours or so of the flush will provide trace levels.

Well week 2 done for the 4x4…and dayumm, my flip to flower got pushed back2 weeks further past my pre flower defoliation than I intended and it is showing! May have to pick a good post stretch spot halfway through or toward the end of this week. Also I think the extra veg matured my root stocks and these girls are on the juice and pumping iron!IMG_4033.jpeg
